  5. Hey ladies and gents, just posting our latest edited videos with our recently released Cuphead video. Take a look and let us know how we are doing.
  6. Wanna know why it says "Don't Deal With The Devil"? Because that way you don't have to die 100+ times fighting relentless bosses out for your blood! So the story of this game is that these 2 cup humanoids, Cuphead and Mugman, went to a casino. Unfortunately for them, this casino is run by a crooked man who looks like a dice, and the Devil. Naturally they fucked up and owe a debt to the big honcho, but they're like "please spare us! We'll do anything for you!" And as payment, they have to fight 30+ bosses who all have debts with the Devil as well so they have to beat them and get their souls for him...... Sounds good to me! Let's get one thing out of the way first: when you play this game, you can expect graphics that's straight from 1930s cartoons. If you like Tom and Jerry, Looney Tunes or even the whole Disney gang from that era, you will love the look of this game very much. If you don't like that style and prefer this then play Jojo's All Star Battle/ Eyes of Heaven. Now that we got that out of the way, how's the gameplay? It's pretty much what happens if you mix Alien Soldier with Contra. You can shoot in 8 directions, you are able to do a jump + parry attack for anything in the game that's colored pink, and you can build up a "super" meter indicated by playing cards beside your life bar which if it's full and you have unlocked a super move, will give you cool stuff to use. The game is very smooth and slick, and you're going to fight against MANY bosses, each with their own many forms, plus a bit of side scrolling missions which has gold collectibles in them that you can use to buy skills + weapons that you need to survive this game. And let me tell ya, as expected from a game that's inspired by Contra and Alien Soldier, the game is hard. Like, REALLY fucking hard. If you are not prepared for what's coming ahead, 80% of the time, this will be your fate: I am not joking when I say that Dark Souls and Nioh are easier than this game. Why? Because at least in those games, you can upgrade your weapons and buff your stats to make fighting bosses easier, and even heal yourself when your life bar is low. In this game? All you can do is select the weapons you want to use along with whatever stat upgrade you want, which can range from "super meter will slowly increase" to "get 5 or 4 life bar instead of just 3, but at the cost of reduced attack power", and you can't heal yourself. Which really sucks when many times in the game, you're 1/9 into the end of the boss fight, and you die when you're at your last health bar. Prepare to rip your hair out or be Darth Vader in Episode 3 a lot. Speaking of boss fights, there's so many of them in this game, and they're all both frustrating, and awesome to fight. Mainly because they all have phases which shows different stuff every time. Some of them even makes me laugh, like this for example: You would think that after you beat him, you'll win? nOPE! He can still fight. Though once you really beat him..... Wow.... just....... I don't know whether to laugh or be disturbed as hell. Ah well, it was a good fight. Musically speaking this game has a great jazz soundtrack which fits the style, but I prefer a more Sega esque soundtrack. So I muted the game's music and play my own songs in the background, like this: It fits surprisingly well. So overall, even though I died 100+ times in total, 80% of the time I have to die 5 times before finally beating a boss, and many times I died JUST as I was about to beat a boss/ stage, I still have a lot of fun just seeing the many bosses this game have to offer, and of course beating them all. What's funny about these bosses is that they're not really evil. It's just that they all owe the Devil a debt and you have to fight them to get out of your debt. So when everything is finished, everyone's like "YAY CUPHEAD AND MUGMAN! Sure you beat all of our asses and we should plot our revenge, but YAY CUPHEAD AND MUGMAN! :D" URRGHHH. Fuck you red genie. Fuck you queen bee. Fuck you red blue clown. FUCK YOU DRAGON! DO YOU KNOW HOW MANY TIMES I CAME SO CLOSE TO BEATING YOUR ASSES ONLY TO DIE OVER AND OVER AGAIN?? Wait..... where's the bird? Meh, I'm sure he's fine...... right? I give this game the rating of "expect to be frustrated with many of the bosses/stages, but once you conquered them, you will feel like the king of the world. And you can't wait for the sequel". With, like Joe, a badass seal of approval! I recommend this game to fans of classic NES side scroller shooters and Alien Soldier. Just be prepared to die. A lot.
