  1. Though I just got my entry into the Dawngate closed beta I was thinking of making a small group to any AJAS members also in the beta, My name on there is Cuddleswag if you want to add. Hopefully we can make the Angry Army's presence known on this game, even if it's not as big as DOTA 2 of LoL.
  2. This is a new MOBA out being published by EA but developed by Waystone Games. It has a LoL feel to it as suggested by other players who are currently playing in the Beta. I've never played LoL so I wouldn't know. But I have played it and it seems pretty fun. I know TotalBiscuit has streamed it on his Twitch but to rewatch it I think you need to be subscribed to him which I'm not willing to do. But I think we should give it a try anyway, despite EA being the publishers and Origin being the system they use. Thoughts?
  3. What is Dawngate? Dawngate is a new Multiplayer Online Battle Arena or MOBA (though you probably wouldn't be here if you didn't know that already) In which two teams of 5 players do battle to destroy each other's Guardian. Features Dawngate's current map has 2 lanes seperated by a jungle, with the epic monster, "The Parasite," located directly in the center. There are also jungles on the outsides of the lanes that house 4 resource generators called "Spirit Wells" total (1 for each team on each side of the map to start with). These wells have minions that gather "Vim," Dawngate's currency for the controlling team. An oposing team member can kill these minions to slow the currency flow or capture it, gaining control of it and locking it down for a certain period of time. There are 3 turrets or "bindings" in each lane for each team. Once all of the bindings are destroyed in one or both lanes, players may begin attacking the opposing team's Guardian. The guardian has a significant amount of health with an array of telegraphed skillshot abilities to combat the attacking players. however there are also 5 smaller structures circling it. Each one destroyed lowers the Guardian's health and restrics its use of a particular attack. In the pre-game lobby, players can choose one of four roles that determines how that player primarily earns Vim. These roles are: Guardian (typically for carries): You gain 200% increased Vim for scoring a killing blow on a minion. Melee Shapers will store 50% of the total Vim a nearby minion is worth if they fail to kill it. On the next minion kill you will gain any stored bonus Vim up to a maximum of 3 stacks Tactician (typically for support): The amount of Vim gained for being near lane minions when they die is increased to 200% of normal. You gain bonus Vim when you damage an enemy shaper (20 Vim for ranged attacks and 40 Vim for melee attacks). This effect has a 5 second cooldown. Hunter (typically for junglers): You do 10% more damage to jungle creatures. When you kill a jungle creature, you will heal for 2.5% of the creature's maximum Health. When you kill a jungle creature there is a 25% chance you will gain 30 bonus vim. Predator (typically for laners/roamers): The Vim gained for killing an enemy shaper is increased to 150% of normal. The Vim gained for assists against an enemy shaper is increased to 200% of normal. The experience gained for a kill or assist on an enemy shaper is increased to 130% of normal. The Vim gained for killing spirit well workers is increased to 200% of normal. There is also an out-of-game "loadout" feature that I can only compare to League of Legends' rune pages. but it's very different. I'll just let the devs explain it:
