  1. IMPORTANT: Probably this will sound n00bish and it may have been answered somewhere else but here goes nothing. Hello there AJSA community. So just a few days ago I returned too my Xbox 360 to play Battlefield 4 after playing Halo 5: Guardians, Star Wars Battlefront, and World of Tanks Xbox One Edition and found myself with the following issue..... WHERE ARE ALL THE DICE SERVERS!?!?!?!?!?!? I REMEMBER SEEING THEM IN THE RANKED SERVERS SECTION LAST TIME I PLAYED AND THERE NOT THERE!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!! (takes deep breath and calms down) Sorry about that outburst guys XD But yeah I last remember that the DICE servers were on the ranked servers section and now they're gone. All I find are rented player or clan servers in both Official and Ranked servers. Example: Today I tried to play BF4 but every time I looked for a server on Quick Match all I got were player servers where if you had lag you would get banned. Then there were two servers where apparently the admins don't like getting one shotted by shotguns or shot out of the sky with Stingers and Iglas (if there are other more concrete reasons for such rules let me know please) and would ban anyone who uses them. Please I would appreciate your answers as to what happened that there are no more DICE servers. Thank you very much

  3. Battlefront at the moment is Schedule to release in holiday 2015 Hey everyone. I decided to create this thread to gather any and all suggestions you have about battlefront that Dice hopefully listens closely to and e-mail it to them in order for the game to be as good as possible and stay true the the core of what battlefront is and at the same time adding new features that could suit the game. You can put in you suggestions/ideas from other battlefront threads such as battlefront is a first person shooter if you posted any there or not. It's a long shot I know, but there's nothing wrong with trying anyway. I'll update my own post if I come up with any more. My suggestions so far: 1. The game should support 60 players on xbox one, ps4 and pc using 60 fps with lots of details and effects since you are using the frostbite 3 engine and have dedicated servers. If the frame rate works well and is stable and smooth in 60 fps, then you can use it as 343 industries has done with the halo mc collections. 2. Faster, more intense dogfights, enable thrusters for ground vehicles/spacecrafts to boost the craft's speed for a short period of time. Enable evasive maneuvers/ countermeasures to prevent missiles to hit you from behind for example as seen in star wars episode 2, the clone wars movie where obi wan is being chased by jango fett, and in revenge of the sith opening battle sequence. 3. Enable optional cockpit view in space vehicles/land vehicles. 4. Acquiring upgrades and somehow outfit you'r factions ship/ units in multiplayer and its weapons/armor etc to improve them in combat. Having stats for these would be good too. 5. Put in Cooperative challenges in terms of different kind of scenarios of various difficulties in MP for the community to participate in, create something like Star Wars Battlelog similar to BF's Battlelog if it could work. 6. Make sure that the game ships with as much content as possible that should be in the main game at launch, and that the game is as glitch, bug free and runs as smooth as possible avoiding what happened to Bf4's launch. 7. DLC/add on content if needed for the game, if it enhances the gaming experience with new modes, new characters, new armor modifications, new weapons, new vehicles. There should be enough content so that nothing major is missing. Adding content to the game is fine and depending on what kind of dlc it is and if it was in the game at launch or not should determine if the dlc should be free or be bought for a small fee. Please do not shower this game with micro-transactions.
  4. in my honest opinion it looks like a Battlefield 3/4 skin looks unbalanced as fuck but what do you guys think?
  5. Hello AJSA! This is my request and introduction to Battlefield 2: Project Reality! Project Reality is a realism total conversion modification for DICE's award winning Battlefield 2 based on the Refractor 2 Engine. The mod focuses on realistic combined arms warfare and teamwork within a modern or unconventional fighting force such as the Canadian Forces or Hamas! Project Reality v1.0 currently includes 40 maps, 13 unique conventional and unconventional factions, and countless amount of weapons and vehicles (I can't even remember/count). The game has Singleplayer 'Co-op' Mode, Multiplayer 'Co-op' and Competitive Multiplayer and is consistently updated by the devs (though, the 'R-DEVs' have a reputation of slow and steady progress). Anyhow, here are the Pros and Cons: Pros Extremely team oriented gameplay, perfect for the AJSA! Lots of replayablity through the many different assets and ways you can approach the objective and enemies. 100 man servers Extremely helpful and friendly players (due to small playerbase), and I'm one of them! Massive maps of up to 4x4 km combined arms maps Minimods and consistent updates! (Vietnam! Falklands! World War 2!) Mumble integration that adds local real time in-game chat, squad chat, inter-squad chat, squad-commander chat, and more. Community organized events by the various clans within Project Reality (Scenario Sundays, One Life Events, Forgotten Honour Tournaments) Community Modding and Factions! (Syrian Uprising, Private Security Contractors, etc) Cons Good amount of bugs and glitches Server stability is not too fantastic to say the least. Considerably large learning curve (good for some I suppose) Aging graphics (BF2 was released in 2005!) Lack of ingame clan support (tags allowed, however) No stat tracking outside of matches (only in games!!!) Slightly slow gameplay. Low player population during weekdays (2-3 servers populated) Videos! PR 1.0 Trailer! Montage! Pure, Raw, and Unadulterated Gameplay! (Oldied but a Goodied) That's all for now, and even if the AJSA isn't completely interested, feel free to check the mod out at realitymod.com Cheers, ShaunOTEast EDIT: Project Reality thread created in FPS Central by Teapot228, the thread will be for anyone interested in PR as a few of us will be rolling in a squad together as AJSA. The OP will be updated with information about session/training/game times and etc (THIS IS UNOFFICIAL, BUT FEEL FREE TO JOIN IN) Thread here!
  6. http://www.shacknews.com/article/83693/battlefield-4-naval-strike-dlc-delayed-on-pc Personally, I think this is great for DICE and EA. It almost seems like they're learning from their mistake with BF4. I'd rather have the DLC delayed as long as I don't have to repeat the issue's many people had with BF4 's launch. Though people seem to have mixed views (looking at you reddit) I would love to hear more people's opinions on the matter.
  7. I legitimately think people are abusing the appreciation month right now just so they have something to bitch at EA for. Premium players are getting shotguns and DMR's while everyone is getting grenades and pistols, I really think people are just unlocking all the DMR's and Shotguns BEFORE just so they can go and bitch saying the Appreciation month shortcuts are worthless because they already have it when in actuality they only got it right before the event! but hey, maybe its just my pessimistic look on the Battlefield Community that leads me to believe it.
  8. For all of those who have gone unaware, DICE has added Platoons to Battlefield 4 just like in Battlefield 3. And since I'm a huge fan of the AJSA I decided to make a platoons for all fellow Battlefield 4 players regardless of the platform of the game. Be it PC, Xbox 360, Xbox One, PlayStation 3, and/or PlayStation 4 you, memeber of the AJSA can join The name of the Platoon is AJSA Division 1. Link to the platoon will be at the end of this post. Everyone is invited to join the Platoon. I'll be looking foward to seeing you all in the battlefied one day ;D Link to platoon: http://battlelog.battlefield.com/bf4/platoons/view/1738783799058865587/
  9. Now as much as a Battlefield fan that I am, I feel that Battlefield 4 has had many bugs and issues since launch. Some have gotten fixed but I want to know if anybody thinks that Battlefield 4 cannot recover from the buggy state. I personally like the game and have a great time playing because I like the way the game feels and the massive scale battles are fun. But some people are not satisfied with the the state of the game. And does anybody know when Second Assault comes out.
  10. You one of the many people who has gotten Battlefield 4 as their first Battlefield game? You enter an online match and don't know what to do other than to shoot people? You're being the enemy team's punching bag every time? I know that many of you may already know most or all of what I'm going to say, but in case you've forgotten something, didn't know a specific feature or stratergy, or are a total noob at the game (being a noob to the game only applies for people who have bought it for the first time, not for experienced players) I'm going to give you a few tips that can help you advance and create your battle plan for when you go out and fight with your friends or with people you don't know. 1. Get to know your environment: You have grenades, rocket launchers, grenade launchers, guns, gadgets, gizmos, and vehicles to play around with. Unfamiliar with a map? Experiment with it! Blow up walls, tear down trees, jump into the water or make buildings collapse. Learn how the map works, try to find hiding places where you can hide and heal your wounds (or regenerate your health in this case) or use as a sniping place Try to make the map work in your favor or in favor of your team. 2. Memorize the map from the inside out: Play on game modes where the maps are huge. Know where vehicles (other than the ones of your team) spawn. For example: in the map Zavod 311 in the Conquest game mode the M142 mobile artillery spawns in the left building. This is from the Russian team's perspective, from American team's perspective, it would spawn in the right building. And know the location of extra weapons (other than the ones you spawn with) are so you can have an upper edge if you run out of ammo. That way you know the map even if you play in Rush or a game mode that the map is much smaller. 3. Get rid of the unnecessary stuff: Airspace is obstructed because of the radio telescope of Rogue Transmission? The tower in Siege of Shanghai is being used as a sniping point by the enemy team? THEN BRING IT DOWN TO THE GROUND!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!! YOU ARE NOT PLAYING CALL OF DUTY WHERE NONE OF THE BUILDINGS CAN BE DESTROYED!!!!!!!!!!!!!!! THIS IS BATTLEFIELD 4 PEOPLE!!!!!!!!!!!!! A GAME MADE FOR PEOPLE WHO LOVE MULTIPLAYER CHAOS!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!! Try to get rid of unnecessary structures that stand between you, your squad and your team, and victory. Same principle applies to commanders in Commander Mode. ESPECIALLY THEM since they have a bigger view of the battle field and can use cruise missiles. 4. Try to find extra ways to use your gadgets: Your gadgets and gizmos have extra uses than the ones they are meant for. The defibrillator, for example, is the only gadgets with enough electricity to revive and kill a person. How do I know this? Well one day playing Obliteration in Operation Locker (personally I hate that map. it has way too many camping spots) I was helping my team get the bomb through when all of the sudden I get killed by a dude that was using a defibrillator. Pretty neat eh? Well let me tell you more. The repair tool can also be used as a murder weapons. I was sniping on top of a building in Dawnbreaker and an enemy engineer repaired me to death XD. Also, for those who have the SUAV for the recon class you can also use it as a kamikaze RC plane. If you're saying that I'm talking nonsense well let me tell you a little story. One day I was playing in the test range with my SUAV and I asked myself how could I retreive it. I thought why not ram into my character to see if he catches it. Pretty bright idea right? Well it turns out that i ended up slamming the RC into the floor and killing myself while I was at it. 5. Counter knifing: You mad because people are counter knifing you and you don't know how to do it? The majority of you already know it but for those who don't when the enemy attacks you from the front (this only applies to PS3, PS4, Xbox 360, and Xbox one users) press the right stick and when the enemy still hasn't knifed you and your character will perform a counter knife. Doesn't work if the enemy knife's you from any other angle. 6. Use the right tool for the right job: If you're in a close quarters map, don't use a sniper with a medium or long range scope. Use it with a short range sight or with the iron sights. 7. Always keep a lookout on the bomb in 3D view (only for Commander mode in the Obliteration game mode): 3D view gives you a much bigger advantage over the battle field in Commander mode. it allows you to see what is actually going on so you can support your team. 8. Extra uses for the grenade launcher: Ever been in a match where your team is being pounded by an enemy helicopter and you don't have a anti-air launcher with you? Well if you are using the Assault kit or the Support kit USE THE GRENADE LAUNCHERS!!! If we go back to the Baku mission in the campaign Recker (in this case the player) is given a grenade launcher to shoot down an enemy attack helicopter. This principle is true for all the other campaign missions and multiplayer. Whether it's the XM25 Airburst of the Support kit or the M320 HE of the Assault kit they still work perfectly for shooting down helicopters. If tyou manage to shoot down a jet with a grenade launcher please let me know XD Well that's right about it for now. If I find more information I'll be posting another topic with more tips & tricks. Have a nice day Color coding for future posts: As you may have noticed there are sentences and phrases. That highlighted material has importance. Red: This code is to give special emphasis to certain point and to avoid misunderstandings. Navy blue: This code is to point out the different points that will be talked about. Yellow: This code is to point out explanatory material that would be good practice to memorize for further occasions, but only at the discretion of the person reading Green: This code would be for my personal opinion of whatever is it that I'm talking about.
  11. After Berserker told me that there's a BF 4 forum I have decided to move this topic to where it belongs for everyone's convinience Click here to go to the topic
  12. So the weirdest thing happened to me last night. I was playing on a pistols only server on BF4 and got like 30,000 points so I was super happy. I got like 2 medals and a domination service star but when the game was over and I left it didn't count ANY of the points. The weird thing is that they still gave me the level 40 battlepack but according to their servers I am still a level 39. But the kicker is the medals counted without giving me points so I have to get 50 more ribbons to get another medal -.- it's pretty weird. Anyways, has anybody had this issue and found a fix? Its annoying to spend like 30 minutes in a game and have it not count. Post any weird BF4 glitches down below for the lulz.
  13. Howdy, all! I decided to post this here as to not waste space in the Battlefield 4 information section. I have a dilemma: I cannot decide about Battlefield 4. I do not know if I should buy it or not. I think I will wait til Black Friday if I do, but is it worth the 39.99 to 69.99 drop? Here's some background: I LOVE games like Bioshock. I love shooters that are deep and make someone think about the story. On the other hand, I love shooters where I just get to blow stuff to hell. Payday 2 is a good example of a game where I shoot first and ask questions later, as well as Call of Duty (although I've fallen away from the series). I also like a game with a TON of features (i.e. offline modes, horde-mode, many multiplayer gamemodes). Is Battlefield 4 going to be a good choice for someone who fits that profile? Thank you SO much for your time, in advance.
  14. In my opinion, change nothing. Battlefront 1 and 2 were amazing how they were. I dont want battlefield 4 with star wars skins. give it space battles, 1st and 3rd person option. If you want a battlefield-like star wars battlefront, fine, but DO IT JUSTICE!!! make it stand out, give it a good campaign!!!!! no crappy campaign from battlefield thats only 4 HOURS!!! I was amazing at Battlefront 2 i could go 100+ kills 0-2 deaths. make it like the originals. the question is, what do you think would make it awesome?!
  15. I can't afford to spend $60 for Battlefield 4. Anybody wanna work together in a squad and play some Battlefield 3? My EA Battlelog is on my profile. Just so you know, I got the game back in June and I'm still learning how to play.
  16. My previous post-rather my introduction, outlined that I breathe fire. Well now its time to breathe f**king FIRE. WTF EA?! I know it's been talked to death (and at the time of posting Lord Joe made a video rant about BF4 a day ago) but I feel it needs to come from a PC player that doesn't have AlienWare or whatever else the Elitists have in their arsenal. I've got a plain old AMD VISION A8 CPU. Yes, a CPU. How the balls I'm able to run BF4 the way it is now on medium and get 40ish frames is beyond me, but the crashes are what ruin it. Turn around too fast, crash. The skyscraper that was hyped up by EA to collapse and change the battlefield actually collapses, crash. Trying to do a barrel roll in a scout helicopter, crash (in more ways than one). It's painful to play and its raping my processor. EA fix your sh*t.
