  10. Anyone who like First Person Shooter games? If you have Top 10 Favorite First Person Shooter Games, just post it on this topic. Remember in ScrewAttack made Top 10 First Person Shooters on their video? Here is my Top 10 Favorite First Person Shooter Games I loves. 10. Half-Life 2 - I really like Half-Life 2. Battle against combine army, creatures, and the others. My favorite weapon is Gravity Gun. Gravity Gun is badass weapon. This game is so epic and badass. Thank you Gabe Newell and Valve. 9. F.E.A.R. - This game has darker and scarier than Half-Life 2 compared it to Amnesia series and Outlast series, but both Amnesia series and Outlast series were more scariest than F.E.A.R. series. I only played 1st game of F.E.A.R. and the other were 2 spin-off to F.E.A.R. and the true sequel to F.E.A.R. were F.E.A.R. 2 and F.E.A.R. 3 are all the game did not played its. 8. BioShock and BioShock Infinite - BioShock series is an best action RPG with FPS. I haven't passed BioShock the first game. In BioShock Infinite, I have passed the game already an once. BioShock will focus on underwater and darker. BioShock Infinite will focus on sky and air with racism. I would like to thank for Ken Levin for making an best game of the year compared it to Hideo Kojima who made Metal Gear franchise. 7. Fallout 3 and Fallout: New Vegas - Fallout is an post-apocalypse similar to Metro series and S.T.A.L.K.E.R. series. This game is better than BioShock due to similar theme and gameplay. I would like to thanks for Bethesda for making action RPG with FPS-style since The Elder Scrolls series. I want to try out The Elder Scrolls V: Skyrim, but I have to wait for all of Skyrim with expansion DLC get less than $20. Originally was bird view with turn-based tactic with RPG element. As now Bethesda has been changed it to similar to S.T.A.L.K.E.R. series and The Elder Scrolls series. 6. Halo (series) - I am huge fan of Halo series. I have played only first Halo game, then Halo 2, Halo 3 as well, and finally Halo: Reach. My nickname was named after main character of Halo alongside with Metal Gear. There is Sci-Fi FPS battling against alien such as Covenant. Also we ride the vehicles. This game is only Xbox family exclusive. Unfortunately, I don't have Xbox, Xbox 360, and Xbox One. But my cousins has one. 5. Call of Duty (series) - Oh man. I love Call of Duty. This game is going to be the epic battle. My brother, my brother's friends, my cousins and my friends has Call of Duty. I only played Call of Duty, Call of Duty 4: Modern Warfare, Call of Duty: World At War, Call of Duty: Modern Warfare 2, Call of Duty: Black Ops, Call of Duty: Modern Warfare 3, and Call of Duty: Black Ops II. I will get Call of Duty: Ghosts for PS4 and upcoming Call of Duty: Advanced Warfare for PS4. Call of Duty: Advanced Warfare is like Call of Duty: Black Ops II and Titanfall (which is also developed by ex-Infinity Ward studio and former Call of Duty developers, Respawn Entertainment for EA). 4. Red Orchestra 2: Heroes of Stalingrad/Rising Storm - This is the World War II with realistic. Much like the WWII-era of Call of Duty, but Red Orchestra 2 is better than Call of Duty. This plot were taken from WWII historical such as Eastern Front campaign and well as Pacific campaign. I heard rumor that Relic Entertainment will develop the new Company of Heroes game called, Company of Heroes 3 where the setting is in WWII Pacific where American fight against Japanese in either the sea battle, the land like island, or both. I hope that Relic will taken from Creative Assembly studio (who is also an SEGA's developer studio) game series called, Total Wars series. One I like to ride the tank similar to ARMA and World of Tanks. 3. Battlefield (series) - I love Battlefield. This game is better than Call of Duty. This game has better realistic and this game will ride the military vehicles. This gameplay has varies mode such as conquest. There is also an campaign as well. My favorite vehicle class is jet fighter. I'm waiting for new Battlefield game made by Visceral Games and DICE called Battlefield Hardline which is like Battlefield with Payday series, SWAT 3 & 4, Counter-Strike series, Grand Theft Auto series, and Kane & Lynch series. 2. ARMA (series) - This game is awesome. Better than Battlefield and well as Call of Duty. I have played ARMA: Armed Assault with all expansion and ARMA 2 with all expansion except Czech Military DLC. This game has sandbox where you travel to anywhere. Find the enemy bases. Ride the vehicles such as tank, aircraft, and anything compared it to Battlefield series. ARMA series were also has more realistic than Battlefield and Call of Duty. Like I said in Battlefield, my favorite vehicle is the one of jet fighter. 1. Goldeneye 007 (N64) - Man I love Goldeneye 007. This is my number 1 favorite game of all time. Also this is my first time I've played an FPS game rather played Doom (which Goldeneye 007 is considered Doom killer). I am huge fan of James Bond 007 movies. Goldeneye 007 was originally made in the movie. Then adapted by book. Then finally is the video game. Goldeneye 007 on N64 were main taken from the movie, well as book and their original. The music is also an badass. Me, my brother, and my cousins love Goldeneye 007 on N64. As now, many game developer studios such as Bungie (who made Halo before taken over by 343 Industries and currently making Destiny with Activision), Infinity Ward (who made Call of Duty for Activision along with Treyach and Sledgehammer Games), Crytek UK (formerly Free Radical Design who also made Goldeneye 007 and ex-Rare employees) and the others.
  11. Forgot to mention this game is in BETA. However, some of the issues still apply considering they were stuff that could have and should have been fixed prior to Beta. Warface is a new first person shooter being made by Crytek. I don't know anything about Crytek's other games, but I certainly hope they aren't as bad as Warface. At first, you'll be drawn in by the small game size, appealing graphics, and wonderful UI, but in the end you'll be severely disappointed by the gameplay and lack of a decent story or background. You're essentially thrown into this conflict between two factions that's never really explained as well as you'd want it to be. It looks like they added the whole co-op/story mode to make the game look "new" and "fresh" because it's not multiplayer oriented, which it really is. Regarding the gameplay, at first it was okay, but in the end it just comes off as a pretty bad shooter. Gun hits don't always register well, and you practically have to empty your whole clip at medium to long range to kill a person. Their unique sort version of sliding is neat at first, but it's pretty spammable and takes away from the overall experience of the game. Like I said before, the only good things regarding this game are the great UI and menus, as well as their F2P model. Apparently, you'll be charging Kredits to buy things, but they're mostly cosmetic. All in all, I really wouldn't waste your time even playing it. EDIT: I forgot to mention the stupid "G-Face" account you have to make to play it. Please, no more third party shit.
  12. Just a poll to see whose ever favorite FPS is around here. Please list your favorite if its not on the poll.
  13. For all of those who have gone unaware, DICE has added Platoons to Battlefield 4 just like in Battlefield 3. And since I'm a huge fan of the AJSA I decided to make a platoons for all fellow Battlefield 4 players regardless of the platform of the game. Be it PC, Xbox 360, Xbox One, PlayStation 3, and/or PlayStation 4 you, memeber of the AJSA can join The name of the Platoon is AJSA Division 1. Link to the platoon will be at the end of this post. Everyone is invited to join the Platoon. I'll be looking foward to seeing you all in the battlefied one day ;D Link to platoon: http://battlelog.battlefield.com/bf4/platoons/view/1738783799058865587/
  14. Anyone know when platoons will be added to battlelog? I read somewhere that they said sometime in February, which i was hoping would mean it would release the same time as the DLC, but considering the DLC released yesterday, i guess not. Thanks for the replies.
  15. Hey was wondering if anybody plays Arma 2 or 3 and likes to play wasteland because it is kinda boring not playing with people. I am ok at the game. I need work on calling out positions of enemies but I am pretty decent at shooting.
  16. Crossfire: Rival Factions by Z8games, is a different version of Counter Strike but better, it has its own unique mode known as Ghost Mode, one side is invisible and has melee and tries to plant the bomb while the good guys try and shoot/kill/stop them. While it is Free To Play, you can also pay for ZP, which is premium cash in game while the game does also have GP which is in-game currency and used for most items and whatnot. ZP is used for that...super stuff or kickass guns that give you an edge. The two combating teams are Global Risk which is the boys in blue, then you got yourself the Black List, usually in tan color. I can say for myself, that Ghost Mode does have one major major flaw in it and that is reffered to as 'bhoping' or 'bunny hopping'. What that means is crotching down, and jumping backwards to render your movement completely invisible. Which is a glitch in the game and I always found it as a noob tactic because it made no challenge in the game as a Ghost if you could move around and kill without being seen. Where is the challenge in that, right? I always preferred a true Ghost approach, remaining unseen until the time is right, kill, then disappear before I'm caught. Now I may be in the minority of thinking bhop was a disgrace to the game but I'm not alone in that thought. if anyone else has played it...what do you think of it? Is it still a good game that can stand on its own two legs or have you never tried it before and may look it up? It has a huge community and its servers are rarely down and it does have music videos out on Youtube, and I have several videos for that game out.
  17. When CoD 4 first came out, it was kinda revolutionary because of it's more cinematic, gritty and (relatively) realistic portrayal. Since then, the majority of FPS-titles have tried to do this, and it's been an ongoing trend which has dominated the whole genre right to this day. Now personally, I've played so many titles that have been doing this that I'm starting to get bored by the whole thing. I want to experience something new, more innovative. I actually started playin Shadow Warrior and Duke Nukem 3d again and I'm surprised on how much more I enjoy these games copared to the majority of FPS titles that gets thrown out today, simply because it's so refreshing to play an FPS title with a different feel to it. So what do you guys say? Are you happy with the current trend or do you want to see something new? If so, what features would you liek to see?
  18. I know its a bit old but wanted to share it with you. My own Review of Metro Last Light. Enjoy Finally, one of the most anticipated sequel of the most popular First person shooters Metro 2033 is here. Will this games is going to be any good or should we all forget about it? Metro Last Light Serious Review Enter once again the world of Soviet Apocalyptic World of Metro Developer: 4A Games Publisher: Deep Silver Release Date: May 17 2013 Genre: First Person Shooter Modes: Single Player Available for : PS3,Xbox 360 , PC Finally, one of the most anticipated sequel of the most popular First person shooters Metro 2033 is here. Will this games is going to be any good or should we all forget about it? Story This game tells us about the story of Artyom, who after he launched the missiles and destroyed the home of the Dark once, he joins the Order and becomes a Ranger of the Metro. After The orders find one survivor of the dark they send Artyom to eliminate him. Unfortunately, before managing doing that he gets captured by the Nazis. Now he has to escape, he has to fight against Nazis and deadly monsters to find the dark one and find out that this particular Dark might be the last hope of humanity. Graphics Metro 2033 was a beautiful game with amazing levels and atmosphere. Last light offers the same and even better visuals and breathtaking level designs. You will visit creepy tunnels, ruined cities, catacombs, swamps and more. Every level has been designed with amazing detail, from character models of your allies and your enemies until the textures that had been used in various area surfaces. Anti-aliasing levels of characters models and environment are great. The atmosphere that they created is amazing. Although they put limited graphic options which can only be configured though config.ini. Some options might be the FOV change and the DirectX 9 ability. Sound Metro last light contains a variety of sounds from creepy ambient you hear while you go through a level. The well-made monsters roars make them really believable. The music is well suited with the background. The sounds that you hear from the residents in the towns are very realistic. The weapon fire sounds are really well made and sound realistic. They did awesome work in that sector of the game that immerse you in the creepy world of Metro. Gameplay Metro Last light brings us a lot of improvements in this Soviet-Post Apocalyptic game. One of the most problematic issues in Metro 2033 was the stealth mechanics. Which they work much better in the new installment by using the shadows so that enemies won’t see you and having a clock where you can see how much oxygen you have and a blue light which indicates if people can see you or not. In addition, you can remove light bulbs and turn off the lights of an entire area after finding the main switch, which can make your life easier. After you approach an enemy you can either stub him to death or knock him out. This can help you a lot to get past without firing you gun at all. Other features that enchant the immersion of the game are the ability to charge your flashlight with a charger. Also there is the ability to clean your gas-mask from bugs and liquid dirt. Other improvement is the currency in the game. In Metro 2033 you were using your ammo as currency to buy weapons or other utilities, now you can use a special ammo for buying your equipment. You collect a different kind of currency which you can find it across the levels and enemies and you can spend them to buy new weapons and ammo. Also you can upgrade your existing weapons. You can add scopes and silencers on your weapon. You can find new weapons which really match the theme of the post-apocalyptic game. There is a big variety of rifles, machine guns and revolvers. There is a good variety of weapons you can choose, although the limited ammo you have you must really be careful how many ammo you spent and stealth is a better choice if you want to survive in this world. There is also a Weapon Menu which you can choose your secondary choice of arms. You can choose between throwing knifes, mines, grenade and fire grenade. You do that by pressing TAB and a circle menu in the middle of the screen comes out and by using you Mouse (PC) or analogue sticks (Consoles) you choose you weapon. This kind of menu is clearly intended for consoles users. You are using the secondary weapons by pressing C and whichever you have chosen it uses it. The only problem with this is you can’t aim beforehand. For instance if you choose to throw knifes you have to aim before you throw it. This is difficult most of the times. Other problem is the weak melee knife. Instead of having it as a primary weapon in this game it approaches a more traditional way of having it on a button and using it. Although this feels a more modern game the range of the attack is very limited and very difficult to use it against other monsters. There are some new monsters around, from spider-scorpion kind of monster, fish monsters which you fight them in swamp area and this time around there are bosses, which offer challenges for even experienced players in high difficulty settings. One more interesting addition is when you fall into the water which you have to clearly avoid because if you do it and fall in, there are piranhas kind of monsters where they will eat you alive. The AI of the enemies is not bad either. Although sometimes they feel stupid and restarted where they can’t see you when you are in front of them or they keep staring a wall. Overall they feel quite difficult in higher difficulty and enough challenging. Especially the monsters that charge you and try to avoid your bullets while moving towards you. This game immerses you deeply into the world of Metro but sometimes this experience can be ruined by the fact that the character doesn’t speak apart from the loading screen. You can’t see his reflection in a mirror or water. He is just 2 flying Hands. Although that doesn’t ruin the experience of the game at all but it would enchant it even greater if it was there. Ranger Mode This particular mode as the developers said "as the game is meant to be played" offers a challenging experience for veteran players of Metro. With no hub or indicators on how much health or Ammo remains, or what to press to interact with the world but instead you have to react to the background sounds. Such as knife sound when you are near a enemy. In addition you have to watch your watch to see how much oxygen you have and the beeping sound comes out when you are nearly out of it. The difficulty increases but not so much with other enemies than with other monsters. Stealth here plays a bigger role than Rambo style and the ammo is very limited so that you have to make enough saving for you to survive. Although there is no way for you to see how many ammo you have, which make it very difficult job for the player. Conclusion Metro Last Light brings a lot of improvements both in gameplay and graphics. Offering you an immersion experience nothing like most game today have. Although some minor bugs, limited graphic settings and the fact they offer the ranger mode in a DLC for 5 more backs hurt the game slightly. But apart from all that, this game is a masterpiece and is recommended to all metro and Post-apocalyptic fans out there. Score: 9/10
