  1. Now hold on! Don't laugh! Let me explain. At my current job position, I'm spending a more than significant amount of time sitting on my rear cushion doing nothing and I'm starting to suspect that *click* that it's *click* slowly driving me *click* mad *click*. I do have a convient place to charge my phone and/or tablet, so I thought a mobile game that's worth a damb might be a good idea, but the mobile market is so overflowing with diced bollocks that it makes Steam's store look like a Gordon Ramsey menu. Besides, I think it's a good idea anyway to find the pearls in this sea of mucus. So for my sanity and that of anyone else in a similar, desperate circumstance, I call on the AJSA to find games on mobile that are fun, won't make you bankrupt and won't send one to a therapy group. A tall order, I know, but I believe in you. Games can be free-to-play or pay-to-play, just so long as they aren't like a gangster demanding cash or they'll cut you. Any genre is fine as well.
  2. Hello guys, lately I discovered that Angry Joe used my soundtrack in the intro of his "Game of Thrones" review and I'm so happy about that, I'm composing music for almost 15 years now and this is huge privilege and awesome recommendation for my work. If someone of you guys need some music for your Twitch / Youtube channels or other stuff I can create unique soundtracks for you, if your project is interesting enough I will be able to create even for free, I'm so happy that I can collaborate with this awesome community. Here are some of my works and my portfolio. Feel free to contact me if interested. Regards, Marcin Klosowski Here is my portfolio on audiojungle: https://audiojungle.net/user/marcinklosowski/portfolio
  3. I was just wondering what were the favorite games of the Angry Army. Personally I just picked up Battlefield 1 and I am having a amazing time with it. Titanfall 2 is also pretty fun. My all time favorite is probably either Legend of Zelda Ocarina of Time or Legend of Zelda Twilight Princess, both good buys if you have those consoles and if you are willing to deal with downgraded graphics unless you get the Hd versions of both. So those are my favorite games how about you. Also is anyone else excited for Shadow of War?
  4. Hi guys. So i'm a complete sucker for cinematics. I love the effects, hype, the compressed message in a cinematic. Espacially video game cinematics has some of the coolest in my mind. I have been searching and watching so many videos with these cinematics and i have come to the conclusion that i can't really rank them in an order of greatest ever made. But i still have a few that rank as my top. This is my top cinematic's of games, what is yours? 1. StarCraft II: Heart of the Swarm 2. Diablo 3 3. Dead Island 4. Warhammer - Mark of chaos 5. The Elder Scrolls Online The Alliances 6. Cyberpunk 2077 7. Star Wars: The Old Republic 8. Dying Light 9. The Witcher 2 10. Prey 2 11. Bioshock: Infinite http://www.youtube.com/watch?v=wIaslJJBpSc 12. World of Warcraft: Wrath Of The Lich King http://www.youtube.com/watch?v=BCr7y4SLhck
  5. Basically, post whatever screenshots you've taken in a game and show them. Any game and any platform goes, just as long as it has something to do with gaming It could be some weird glitch, something you find beautiful/pretty or something completely different i'll get the thread going
  6. 2016 has been a rather unexpected year when it comes to gaming. We’ve had good games, bad games, disappointing games and games that end up getting canned for one reason or another. Regardless, it’s time for a list and it’s not going to be an easy one. I’m not limiting this to just Nintendo games. I’m involving all sorts of games so without further ado, these are my Top 10 Games of 2016. Word of warning for everyone… if you find that a game you like isn’t on the list, you are welcome to make your own and share it. I won’t judge you and remember, the only opinion that should ever matter is your own. Let us begin. 10) Song of the Deep - PlayStation 4, Xbox One and PC Kicking off the list we have Song of the Deep, developed and published by Insomniac Games. Song of the Deep is basically Metroid but in an underwater style. I will admit. This game had me intrigued because of its design and presentation. When I got to play it, it was a sight to behold. The presentation for it is incredible with the level of detail to be intense. It’s gameplay leaves a lot to be desired but it fits the world that this game is. Not to mention it’s a bit too simple and short, around 4 hours. I’ll cut some slack since the game is rather cheap and there’s replay value to back it up. This game deserves a bit more appreciation. Sure it’s not the best but for what it’s worth, it’s a soothing and satisfying experience. I recommend that you pick the game up, at least to see for yourself how good it is. It’s $10! It’s not the best but I feel that it deserves to be #10 on my list. 9) Super Mario Maker for Nintendo 3DS - Nintendo 3DS To think that Nintendo would take a risk and bring a game like this to their best-selling handheld is a challenge onto itself. But for its shortcomings, I say that they did a good job. Mario Maker for 3DS is what it is, a port of a game that was on Wii U now fit on the handheld. Nothing more. Nothing less. The only problems I have with the game is that there’s no Amiibo functionality, you can’t play others courses or share courses online and the only way you can share them is through its Streetpass function. But despite its negatives, the game is still really fun and can even push your skills as a gamer/level creator to the test. Had this game allowed you to share courses online and play others’ from the get-go, it’d be rated higher. I recommend playing this on a New 3DS XL because, on a regular 3DS, you can experience crashes. I just want to give you a heads up. 8) Final Fantasy XV - PlayStation 4, Xbox One (PC coming soon) We waited a long time for this game. It originally was going to be part of the Fabula Nova Crystalis as Final Fantasy Versus XIII. Unfortunately, it was scrapped and then replaced with this. The wait was long but in the end is worth it. Final Fantasy XV is a great game. Its strong points are the gameplay, the open world location and the many things you can do in this said world. My problems with the game are its lackluster story and the characters. The four protagonists are fleshed out well enough but everything else feels flat. Made worse is that in order to better understand this, you need to watch stuff that’s outside the game like the film Kingsglaive and OVA Brotherhood. Other than that, I couldn’t find anything else wrong but at least Square-Enix is dedicated to making the game better while filling up story bits that should have been added. Thankfully I’m happy with that and it shows that they really want to make the game feel complete. I recommend giving this game a chance. Besides once the negatives are pushed aside, you have a game that’s very satisfying. 7) Overwatch – PlayStation 4, Xbox One and PC Blizzard has a lot of balls for trying their luck in the first-person shooter genre and it paid off considerably with this game. Overwatch is just that: a first-person shooter game where you and five others can take the fight against the opposition in various modes. They range from escort/stop the payload to capturing defensive points/objectives on the map. Okay. It’s a bit small but that’s not why it’s on the list. Overwatch’s strong points are its setting and characters. No two characters are similar. Each character offers something different and that’s what makes it good. Coupled with the fact that there’s a lot to do in this game, it’s nuts. We already got two new characters, a whole bunch of new modes and events and knowing what 2017 has in store, it’s going to get better. This game is better played if you have friends because it’s all the more satisfying when you achieve victory. I ask you… are you with me? 6) Paper Mario: Color Splash – Nintendo Wii U I know what you’re thinking. Why is this game on the list? Let me explain. Sure this game uses the same style as Paper Mario: Sticker Star but that’s pretty much it. Why it’s on my list because it is a much better game. Design wise, it is awesome. It is a step up from the previous game and the theme involving paint and colors adds it in perfectly. You can tell when you travel through Prisma Island. The addition of restoring the world through paint offers something different. Using cards instead of stickers is a lot better. The humor this game has is spot on with some being very funny to listen. Color Splash offers a lot here and I say it is miles better especially since it’s released on a system that’s on its deathbed. I only wish that Nintendo could go back to its roots with the game offering what it should be, instead of this. But for what it’s worth, I say it’s a must buy. Truthfully it is a must buy and I recommend this game. Enjoying the list so far? Good because we’re now reaching the halfway point of this list. There’s no going back for us now. 5) Fire Emblem Fates – Nintendo 3DS Three years after the release of Fire Emblem: Awakening, we get a game that not only is good but offers so much. I’m talking about Fire Emblem Fates and I speak on behalf of everything the game offers. What’s different from the previous games is its branching campaigns. You play as Corrin, a young noble who was born in the kingdom of Hoshido but was raised by the kingdom of Nohr. When both kingdoms declare war on each other, you have to make a choice on whose family you would side. Should you side with Hoshido, the kingdom you were born in as your Birthright. Should you side with Nohr, the kingdom that raised you and follows the side of Conquest. Or will you choose neither side and instead work to have both kingdoms unite under one banner and learn of a Revelation that threatens all. That is what makes the game stand out. The three campaigns: Birthright, Conquest, and Revelation offer hours of gameplay and customization that can drive you nuts. Replay value here is through the roof, along with additional content via DLC drives it even further. I won’t go into too much detail but if you haven’t picked up this game, you should. I recommend trying your luck to get the Special Edition of the game, which has all 3 campaigns in one DLC. But if you are getting either Birthright or Conquest, expect to spend a lot just to get the rest. It’s why this game gets the #5 on my slot on this list. 4) Gravity Rush Remastered – PlayStation 4 In 2012, a game called Gravity Rush was released on the PlayStation Vita. It was a game that was fun, different and offered something new. Sadly not many people got to play it due to being released on a handheld that Sony never gave a damn about. Four years later, SCE Studio and Project Siren bring this game over to the PlayStation 4 and my god, it is incredible. Gravity Rush Remastered is marvelous. Seeing the game in glorious HD is jaw dropping. It's nuts! What’s even better is that it runs at a solid 60 frames per second. Flawless 60fps. It is perfect. They also refined the game’s controls making things such as sliding across the city seamless. You can use the back buttons on the PS4 controller but there’s also the option to use the DualShock 4’s motion controls so it offers some variety for players. What’s even better is that the Remastered port includes all the DLC for the game and at a price of $30, how can you say no to that? You simply can’t. This game is what made the PlayStation Vita stand out but now that it’s on a PS4, it’s the go-to game for anyone wanting this console. I highly recommend it. It is a must buy, without a doubt and it should prep anyone for the eventual release of Gravity Rush 2 coming in January. 3) Shantae: Half-Genie Hero – Nintendo Wii U, PlayStation 4, Xbox One, PlayStation Vita and PC WayForward should be praised and commended for making a game like this. Not a lot of people are going to like having this as my #3 spot but this is a perfect example of a Kickstarter campaign done right, aside from Shovel Knight. Shantae: Half-Genie Hero is amazing. There is so much good to say here such as the presentation. Design-wise, it’s a step up from the previous game. 2.5D at its finest with the character models being at its absolute best. Jake Kaufman does it again with the music here and all the tracks are addicting to listen to. Very addicting. The gameplay is similar to the first two games but it’s improved and easy enough for anyone to pick up and play. Hopefully, with the upcoming DLC like Risky Boots’ campaign, Half-Genie Hero is going to be one that’s worth every penny. Show love to WayForward. Get this game now! 2) Phoenix Wright: Ace Attorney Spirit of Justice – Nintendo 3DS The Ace Attorney series has endured for more than 15 years with a strong and devoted following. 2013’s Dual Destinies is one a lot of people were hyped for and though nowadays is a bit mixed it was a welcome addition. Three years later, Phoenix Wright returns in full force with the sixth game in the main franchise: Spirit of Justice. Similar to the previous entries, it’s a visual novel style game where as Phoenix Wright (or any of the others like Apollo & Athena) you must investigate witnesses, find evidence and discover the truth through the courts. This time around, the story takes Phoenix to the Kingdom of Khura’in and in that country, defense attorneys are outlawed. Spirit of Justice introduces the Divination Seances where it details the last thing the victim sees before they pass on. But the truth isn’t always black and white. That’s where we come in to figure out if what the victim sees is the truth or not. Many staples that are prevalent in the previous entries return here but its biggest points are its story and music. The story is a bit dark and intense for a game like this and the music is still its shining moment. Believe me, there are some tracks that are incredible to listen to. Whereas Dual Destinies serves as a return to form for the well-respected attorney, Spirit of Justice serves as a passing of the torch for Apollo Justice, allowing him to take the spotlight he deserves. It’s reason enough why this gets the #2 spot. 1) Pokémon Sun & Moon – Nintendo 3DS Some people like the game, others didn't. To tell you the truth, I enjoyed the game. As a fan of Pokémon since Generation 1, I had a lot of expectations. They paid off when it came out. Nintendo, GameFreak & The Pokemon Company took a lot of risks in making this stand out over the previous generations. Removing some staples like Gyms, HMs seems crazy when you think about it. However, when I got to play it for myself, I can say is wow… they nailed it. The game does hold your hand a lot at times but you do get the chance to explore at your leisure. The Island Challenges are interesting and provide something different instead of going to a gym and earning a badge. It’s emphasized a lot and I like it personally. Z-Moves are also cool and how they look is amazing. But if I were to net any nitpicks, it’s the story. That leaves a lot to be desired. I wish it can improve but at least the game is still the way you remember it. Pokemon Sun & Moon may not be for everyone but for those that put the time into it, it’s a pretty awesome game. I recommend it and yes, it’s one that I feel should be #1 on my list. Honorable Mentions: Azure Striker Gunvolt 2, Pokken Tournament, Yo-Kai Watch 2 Bony Spirits & Fleshy Souls, Ratchet & Clank PS4, Kirby: Planet Robobot That’s pretty much it for this list. Remember, my list is 100% opinionated and you are welcome to disagree with me. If you guys have a list of your own Top 10s or if you feel that a game you played should be on the list, let me know in the comments. I look forward to hearing from everyone.
  7. Hello fellow AJSA members! I am making this topic to ask for your opinion on what would be a good development software to make Fighting games. I am a new coder/wannabe game developer so I don't have that much experience in this field. However, my passion for fighting games and games in general has influenced me to make my own fighting game. So far the only software Ive thought about using is Unity since its a popular engine (and the free price tag isn't bad either) but I'm curious if there are other software that are good for making fighting games. I know Mugen is a popular engine but that seems to be more of a "Drag & Drop" thing than actually creating your own game. Plus, I want to be able to market my product in the future and you aren't allowed to do that in Mugen (But for some reason I am wrong, don't hesitate to prove me wrong!) I guess would prefer something that is "Newbie friendly" Since my coding isn't the greatest but I don't mind going beyond the limit to make something that can be really enjoyable. I appreciate your help
  8. Got a new episode of my youtube channel show. Tried to have a more thorough review than normal, also got some skits in there. I put a lot of effort into it, so feedback would definitely be appreciated.
  9. So after Witcher 3 nothing feels the same... All the modern games are either super repetitive, super broken or just boring. For example: Shadow of Mordor, Mafia 3, Quantom Break, Arkham Knight, etc.. all bored me to tears. Fallout 4 was decent enough for me to finish but I doubt i'll replay it. What do you guys recommend a fan of the single player games nowadays? whats a decent single player game with a decent enough story that will make me want to come back?
  10. Ok so i'm kind of sick of multiplayer games like the title says. I used to love playing multiplayer games like Halo Reach, Gears of War, WOW etc... but recently I've just lost enjoyment of them and started to enjoy solo games like I just finished Dishonored 2. I guess I've just played to many of them I guess and I was just wondering if anyone else has felt this way. P.S Sorry for the weird rant complain thing.
  11. Hello Forum, I am recently getting into Total War games. I have a pretty powerful PC too. I beg the question to ask, What is your guys' favorite Total War Games and Why? Thanks so much, Hobo
  12. Hi my name is Zack and I just wanted to introduce myself to my fellow comrades. I've always wanted to be a part of the Angry Army but the chance never came, but now it is time to serve under the Commander himself, Angry Joe. Also my favorite types of games are either FPS or RPGs and I sometimes enjoy a strategy game ever here and there.
  13. I watched this youtube channel that focuses on RTS games. And he recently uploaded a couple of videos promoting this new game called War of rights. And watching it, i looked like a dream game for a community like this, where it`s a massive online battle, set in the civil war era. And an army marching, shooting and charging. knowing that each and every soldier is a real player. Idk, but you should check it out and watch for yourself.
  14. Attention civ5 players! Hi there im looking for some people to play some civilization 5 with on steam. i really love this game but barely anyone of my friends have it so i need more people to play with. I have all the DLC so compatibility isn't an issue. If your interested reply with your steam id and ill add you so we can play. be warned though im really into domination victories. my steam id is: sumguy9631 Thanks for reading.
  15. hello everyone of the gaming community of ajsa, i come to you on this new thread to ask one quest-ion......WHAT IT IS! what is up how are you. tell us anything about gaming, people, ANYTHING!, and this is in the OFF TOPIC section as well so Hopefully the commanders wont be heartless and take it down. ENJOY!!!!!!!!!
  16. So today I was thinking about a game I used to play when I was a child. More about that later. So I got an idea that could help a lot of gamers out. The AJSA is one of the best communities out there so I thought that we could help each other. Anybody that has forgotten a title of game (new or old) can just describe it here and hopefully other members will know the title. - The game I remember as the first game I´ve ever played was a Mecha (or just a robot) game on a DOS. You played as a yellow mecha and shot others mecha while you looked at the camera with a top-down view.
  17. Been watching for quite awhile now and I've lost my old gaming group. Been finding it difficult recently to do much, so I figured, I'd try this out. Tons of games on steam. Lots of 2s. Dungeon Defenders 2, L4D2, Sanctum 2, Killing Floor 2, Orcs Must Die 2. Nazi Zombie Sniper 2. If I had a group of people to play with, I'd try getting back into some of the f2p mmos as well. Currently, I have Warframe and Path of Exile installed. League of Legends, Hearthstone, Heroes of the Storm, Mass Effect 3, Far Cry 4. Smash 4 and Xenoblade Chronicles X on Wii U. So... yeah. Let's see what kind of crazy shit we can get into.
  18. For anyone that considers themselves a completionist in the modern era of gaming are all aware of those seemingly impossible or just plain buggy/glitchy acheivements that plague our game lists. I wanted to share one that is not bugged out but eludes me to this day. I have spent countless hours working on the achievements that came with Arkham Knight's DLC challenge pack 6 including "The Chill in the Air" , "The Curtain Falls" and "Requiem for a Killer." I do not claim to be an expert at this game by any means nor do I have an insanely high Gamerscore. In fact I recently created a new profile for my switch over from PS4 to Xbox One and it is less than 3 months old. Unfortunately I have been unable to mark this game off of my list this year all due to the wonderful inclusion of challenge pack 6. All of that being said, I would love to know what achievements or trophies have given you the most issues to get, or did you give up on trying to complete it?
  19. Hey guys, Jamstaman here! hope you are all well. I've just started a new RP on my channel and thought I would share it here as I know it's a nicely tight wound community. This game is such a great Role-Play game. Let me know what you're opinions of this game is. Please check it out brothers & sisters and let me know you're opinions! thanks in advance to all that help a brother out Just a side note. I know my voice acting isn't really on par but it's all just for a laugh so not to be taken seriously. I am on the look out for people to get involved and do some voice acting! let me know
  20. Ive thought to myself what could be the next game for October and November and soo on..) This is my 2 ideas for the next games. -Burnout Paradise - Yea a racing game how exiciting that could be? For me ive always been a huge fan of Burnout Games due to the simplicity of crashing other cars into obstacle,cars,ect..) For the online portion its not different, its insanely fun with friends doing coop events/goals and soo much more. For only 20$ on Steam an 2009 arcade racing game still does the job of bringing the fun and the memories back! The online mode is Still online for up to 16 players seamlessly! Well Worth it! For my second game its and of-course you've probably guess its or not its Verdun - Why? Well i did take this game a shot during spring-summer 2015 and well its fell short of my expections but with the huge recent updates that the devs put on,its way more of a diversify game and the contents here has been increased tremendously. For 32+ players in a WW1 battle with that much realism in term of environment destruction, immersive moments that will make you feel like your in hell, there no denying that this game is a no-brainer for anyone stupid enough to not get it,if they love FPS games! JUST GET IT IF YOU CAN! For 25$ or less. So what yours ideas?
  21. Hey Army If Any Of You Guys Are interested I've Made A Doom Video Of My Ideas That Could Be In The Game Love To Know What You Guys Think =]
  22. I thought this would make a cool general thread, hopefully it's not against the rules... (I swear I use to know all of them, it's been awhile though.) Have you ever been banned from any game? List the game and the Reason. Myself, the only game I've ever been banned from is Dark Souls 2 SotFS, when all the bans were going out. I personally think I was justified because I did hack quite often, small things like Cracked Red Eye Orbs, I always did it offline, though. Once I hacked a character's name because I hated it, iMage, my mage only character. Anways, Cheers!
  23. What do you guys think are the Best, Worst and Most Disappointing Games of 2015? I've always wanted to ask and knowing that Joe will have his Top 10s coming, he'll probably have a lot so why don't we discuss. For me... and there are games I know are GOTY that I haven't played yet. Best Games of 2015: Witcher 3, MGSV TPP, Fallout 4, Majora's Mask 3D, Xenoblade Chronicles X, Bloodborne, Worst Games of 2015: Godzilla (no surprise), Tony Hawk's Pro Skater 5 Most Disappointing Games of 2015: Batman Arkham Knight, Star Wars Battlefront, Battlefield Hardline I want to hear what you guys think.
  24. Hello, I am new to the site. My name is Arkeeny Shadowdusk, you can call me Ark or Arkeeny. (Not my real name but I am not telling the entire internet my real name.) I recently started Streaming games and uploading gaming videos to my new gaming channel on youtube. I been an advent gamer since I was in my mother's womb. In fact she had to get a nintendo controller glued to her stomach because I was gaming even before I was born! Oh, Nintendo... I miss the old final fantasy, ultima, dragon warrior (dragon quest), skate or die, faxanadu, and many more games. And don't get me started on super nintendo and sega! *CoughphantasystarCough* I play games like MechWarrior Online, World of Tanks, Armored Warfare, Games on Battle.net, Steam, and offline games as well. But who doesn't? On a serious note, I am really a new streamer and youtube gamer. I been doing this for over two weeks now and no luck finding viewers let alone followers. My twitch account is fairly new however, so I didn't expect to get noticed right away. And I am trying to be as entertaining as possible despite the living conditions I have (I have to keep my voice down most of the time.) Also my room mate is one of those wannabe gangstas who play gangsta rap all day so loud even God has to wear earplugs. So sometimes I can't Stream when I want to, and if I do it has to be with my microphone turned off or on Push to Talk. I hope to make some friends and get some help and advice from other streamers and players like you guys. Catch me on my twitter account @@TrueBlueArkeeny and Twitch.tv/Arkeeny. I don't have much activity yet but I am hopeful. =D Help me Get Started!
  25. Why are some devepers still making region locked games. For gamers that have friends in different countries and to communities like the AJSA, players have to divide themselves by regions which is completely ridiculous and it makes the whole experience worse. I noticed that the administrators of the PS4 Planetside 2 were having a lot of problems due to PS2's region lock. It is bad enough that consoles such as the PS4 makes the accounts region locked, so if you move to a different region, well, you just have to get yourself another account. I not only lost all my progress (games and tophies), but also all of the games I got with PS Plus. I would have kept that account, but guess what, you have to have a credit card from that region, so if I wanted to keep that account, I would have to keep a bank account at that country. And once again I am worried due to the fact that in one year, I will have to move again ...
