After years of conference's showing off demos and gameplay, No Man's Sky finally has a released! It's been nearly over 3 years since we first saw No Man's Sky. Think about that, and in that time so much has happen to the game. A flooding that took nearly the whole project right after the start, a secret lawsuit from an English cable company known as SKY, Sean Murray and his beard! But after so long of a wait we are finally here, able to explore a unknown and new universe. A dream many of us when we were young (Hell even today) share, each time we looked up to that star lit night sky. Whether you are interested in the game or not, the concept of what this game was and became is an impressive work of accomplishment. Now if you excuse me... I got some exploring to do! PS Blog "No Man's Sky: 7 Ways to Start Your Adventure" article link: http://blog.us.playstation.com/2016/08/09/no-mans-sky-7-ways-to-start-your-adventure/ Oh, I'll leave the new No Man's Sky Launch Trailer, and No Man's Sky announcement trailer from all those years ago... just to show the journey to get here.
Hello Games has had an interesting history, along with an interesting year since their announcement of No Man's Sky. Meet the incredible indie studio in the UK that is taking E3 by force. How a small group of passionate gamers, craft one of the most ambitious science-fiction games. No Man's Sky, a game about exploration and survival in an infinite procedurally generating universe. Whether mountain ranges out of sight or planets beyond your horizon you can explore them. Fly seamlessly from a planets surface, to its orbit, and travel to any star you see. Explore uncharted solar systems, find new forms of life. Every planet different than the next. Choose to share your fidnings to rest in this universe. But it be no adventure without danger. Every solar system, planet, ocean cave, etc is filled with danger. Your ship is fragile, your suit is fragile every single encounter to test your limits. Every victory and every defeat will have lasting consequences. Where you go, what you do, how you do it is all up to you in this universe. No Man's Sky site: Click Here
So I watched the VGX awards and honestly there was one upcoming game that blew me away. The game is called No Man's Sky, and it's going to re-define what we percieve as first person space sims. The game is being developed by Hello Games, which are the same dudes that gave us the Joe Danger series. The Universe you explore is procedurally generated, meaning every star in the sky, you can travel to it. Not only that, you can also explore each planet that revolves around any star, for example you can explore the vast seas of a planet, or if you see a mountain way way off in the distance, you can travel there and climb on top, and hop into your space ship when your done and seamlessly fly up into space to continue your search for new worlds. One thing I'm not sure about however, the game is only being developed by a team of four guys, and they have a launch date of sometime in 2014. Will this be another failed un-delivered promise like Star Command? Of course, only the future can decide. Heres a link to a site describing the game and some gameply from VGX: http://kotaku.com/wow-no-mans-sky-just-stole-the-show-at-the-vgx-1478802599 Just right click and choose "open link in new window".
