  2. From Sapiens to Ludens サピエンスからルーデンスへ The last few days, Kojima, (in typical fashion) took to Twitter to hint at the new game he and his team are currently working on; more specifically, the (presumed) main character. This is his first tweet which reveals the characters name. After a lot of speculation from the fans as to what the character could possibly look like (some awesome looking fan art.......some, not so great); Kojima finally, in a series of tweets, showed us a full body 3D render, with a little info on the character. I know I am pretty much a Kojima fanboy, but I think this looks fuckin' BADASS! After seeing this, I can't help but feel a little excited to see more of what this game could be, which I know we won't get our hands on until at least the year 2020 (sadface), but this guy and his team has my full attention. Whether the game turns out great or not, I always find it to be like a wonderous adventure. Consider us all the Alice, and he is the Almighty Wizard of Oz, the master of smoke and mirrors!
  3. When Hideo Kojima revealed his next venture, the new Kojima Productions, last year, he announced the reformed studio with a black and white logo that featured an armored, skull-faced being. Today, Kojima reveals the full mascot behind that logo. He's called Ludens, and he appears to be a futuristic explorer of new worlds. Kojima offered the first full-body look at Ludens on Twitter today, describing him as "the icon of Kojima Productions." Ludens, Kojima said, wears an "extra-vehicular activity (EVA) creative suit" — though the official artwork actually reads "extra-vehicular creative activity suit" — and is seen holding a Kojima Productions flag. "We'll deliver THE NEW PLAY in THE NEW FUTURE with the cutting-edge equipment, technology, & the frontier spirit," Kojima said of his new studio's ambitions on Twitter. The reborn Kojima Productions' first title will be a new franchise and a PlayStation 4 console exclusive, Kojima and Sony announced last year. Kojima has said that his ambitions for Kojima Productions go beyond just making games. Way too many people talk about development, budgeting, tech, adding features, fixing things, etc without having the slightest idea how any of it works. This gives you a look into the process from concept, through the highs and lows of development, to the final creation. How to make a game wanted by nostalgic players while attempting to evolve, the writing process, team member responsibilities, Skype failing them, creating an art style, the history of Double Fine's project code names, bringing in other sources of income by releasing the PC version of Brutal Legends and publishing deals for their games in other countries, when John Romero has to take you on scary car rides, etc. Best summed up by this comment Guest Column: The State of Strategy Guest Column: It's Time to Talk About Labor in the Games Industry GAME ON: HOW AUSSIE GAYMERS ARE FINALLY COMING OUT After the June Fire Slow Burn: Environment and mood in Firewatch 'The Last Game I Make Before I Die': Fighting Cancer By Making A Video Game Kickstarters of the week (or ones I heard about this week) OVERLOAD - The Ultimate Six-Degree-of-Freedom Shooter The creators of Descent are making a new game. 8. Hello everyone ! I hope everybody knows that both Ground Zeroes and The Phantom Pain are coming to PC ! And with the close release of the Phantom Pain and the first information we are getting on the Online Multiplayer, it seems that we can create our own Army, and then, if there is the possibility to be an entire group of player under the same banner, i think there is a way to be really happy. Here is a picture that proves you can have your own Army: So we have to wait more information about the multiplayer like the coop missions. But yeah, I think there is potential to have fun.
