  1. (I addressed this on the AC Unity topic but I have decided to post it here too, but I feel it was worth some discussion so I put it here as this is a growing, nasty-ass trend that has to stop) STOP PUTTING MICRO TRANSACTIONS INSIDE OUR GAMES! I remember a time when you could play offline and nothing would hinder gameplay and everything was unlock-able without an internet connection. Now I know some people will say to me "But online gaming is the future!" well if thats true, I guess everybody who is stationed overseas (like me) with their families are screwed since we cannot upgrade our connection to another company. Seriously though, you don't need to lock off content like outfits or weapons to make the player go and play the mobile app or purchase them with real money in-game, that feels just... just wrong. I appreciate the free DLC and all, and the Co-op though I haven't had the opportunity to try it was a good idea to replace the multiplayer and I've heard a lot of people are having fun with it (and I am so glad you can play those missions offline too) but when the game is forcing you to go elsewhere to get something that you should have anyway, it feels very wrong and can be frustrating. This isn't just Ubisoft either, Bioware has recently jumped on this bandwagon with Dragon Age: Inquisition as well as Capcom in the past. Nobody likes Micro transactions, we already paid $60 so let us play the goddamn game! How about instead of paying for it, you work for the outfit/weapon/content with a super difficult side-mission and you're rewarded at the end with it so you can feel even more badass when you put it on knowing that you worked for it (Look at Skyrim or Metal Gear Solid: Peacewalker as examples, both games are AAA without Micro transactions but do what I just described instead) or if its a fighting game, how about after completing a really difficult challenge that rewards you with it like beat down 50 enemies using only one health bar or pull off 30 super-moves in a set time limit? Either way, I think we can all agree this trend of paying in game for something that should be there anyway, has to stop and if left unchecked could lead to serious problems.
  2. I don't know if this is the story that Joe said about the post on reddit but MAN ALL OF YOU MUST READ THIS. Looks like the Destiny we got is a really BIG BULLSHIT and TONS of things were cut off in Destiny over the last year of development. http://www.neogaf.com/forum/showpost.php?p=132190481&postcount=519 Read it. 3. Ok, so I was apart of the Founders club when I bought a continues donation thing for a few months. Then I had to cut the donations due to losing my job and moving to a new state. But for some reason, I only just noticed this now for some reason, I made two more money donations without knowing it. It was supposed to stop on the 8th of Aug, and for some reason didn't show up on my bank statement, but then it showed up on the 9th again. I only just noticed it now for some reason. I'm trying to figure out how I can get that money back, because I've not been in the founders club for the past two months and yet have been paying that same amount of money. This legitimate is making me mad, because my bank failed to notify me of this and now I have to work to get this money back. And sense I was somehow paying the amount, I should have at least still been in the founders club right? So why was I able to cancel the payment and yet not have my bank or PayPal get that memo but the forums were right on top of it? I need that money back just so I can get by sense I don't have a good enough job to support something like this. I figured I would contest it in Paypal maybe, as that seems like a good place to figure it out, but I don't know for sure. So I'm asking any body, admins to just average guys like me, if they have any answers to what is going on?
  4. I've been debating whether or not to buy the smite god pack. Is it worth the money? I can't help but think it'll ruin the game for me because I won't have any more objectives.
  5. What do you guys think of this? Link: http://mynintendonews.com/2014/05/27/nintendo-will-launch-youtube-affiliate-programme-to-share-ad-revenue-with-video-creators/ Personally I find it to be an acceptable compromise. Since last year when they decided to just claim videos of LPers, many gamers were pissed since Nintendo was desperate for money after their Wii U flopped. But I want to hear your opinions.
  6. Yo Joes, I have been a fan of the Angry Joe Show for many years now and have supported him and his community for quite some time, but my monetary income is not stable enough for me to constantly provide the money for the service. So I would like to ask a mod or another supporter a few very quick questions: If I cannot provide the money monthly (since 45 dollars a month is just not always in the budget), will I be punished by having my status taken away? What is the preferred method of payment? Is there a more efficient way for you guys to get the money rather than Paypal? Anyway, if anyone could possibly answer these questions for me or point me in the right direction, I would be very appreciative. ~Chivalry
  7. I'm surprised I haven't seen this discussion or it's in General Discussions. Verizon plans to make Heavy Bandwidth Users pay more. This ranges from streaming services to gaming. Verizon CEO Lowell McAdam wants heavy users to pay more. "It's only natural that the heavy users help contribute to the investment to keep the Web healthy", he said. "That is the most important concept of net neutrality." I hope Google Fiber becomes a legit competitor in the ISP front. They might make these ISP start increasing their bandwidth's bundles for cheaper. Instead of nickel and dimming our wallets dry.

  9. I was playing free roam and all the sudden some guy gave $400,000,000 to me!! Is this good or bad?
  10. This is a Diss I wrote towards big money companies, including chains like Kroger, that have restrictive policies and widespread paranoia, and bigger companies like Youtube, for the bullshit ID Tagging changes that are putting the Angry Joe Show, and many other honest Critic Shows at risk of getting shut down (due to lack of monetization rights.) Guy's seriously...we gotta stop this shit. http://www.youtube.com/watch?v=ZvIrUM2ZIno
  11. A lot of us have already figured out what next gen title they are looking forward to most. Money is being saved, and money is going to be spent. What are you looking forward to spending you money on? Personally, I am looking forward most to Destiny, but I'll write more about that in some other post. Now if only it would come out for the freaking PC, am I right? Anyway, do reply.
