On the day and start time of Game Nights keep an eye out for an invite from the Host/Hosts (either an In-Game invite and/or a Party Chat Invite) Xbox One - Weekly Events & PC - Expeditionary Force Organizers from PC and Xbox One are teaming up on Minecraft! We’ve turned the Xbox community world into an online ‘Minecraft Realm’ where members from PC and console can come play during this Special Operation. Invites to the Realm will be distributed to participants during the events. Due to limitations to how many people can be in a Realm at one time, we are breaking up the Minecraft event into two phases to ensure both sides can get to play. Each Phase will be curated to a respective platform. The ‘Xbox - Phase One’ of the event will take place on Friday night July 27th and the ‘PC - Phase Two’ will take place on Saturday afternoon July 28th. PC and console members can attend both phases, but space will be limited. If the server is full, please be patient and you’ll get in to play! Once you are part of the Realm, you can come back and play whenever you feel like it! It is important to note that PC members must have the ‘Windows 10 Edition’ of Minecraft to play. Have an old version of Minecraft? Log into your Mojang account, find and click on ‘Claim Your Free Copy’ to upgrade. For voice communications, during the Xbox Phase we will be primarily using Xbox Live party chat to talk. For the PC Phase, we will be using the AJSA Discord channel voice and text channels. There is in-game text chat system built into Minecraft as well. Xbox - Phase One Hosts: Rune, Dylmah93, & O0PP34 Date: Friday July 27th, 2018 Start Times: Universal Time Coordinated 12:30 AM UTC North America Times 7:30 PM ET 6:30 PM CT 5:30 PM MT 4:30 PM PT United Kingdom/Ireland Times 12:30 AM GMT How To Participate: For new members/first time event participants coming from Xbox, I highly encourage you to add to the host as your friend on Xbox Live (Gamertag listed above). All event parties are launched from the AJSA Xbox Club so if you’re a member of the Club, you can join without a direct party invite. Communication during events are done primarily in the Xbox Live Party system. In case of emergency, we will use the AJSA Discord Channel. If you would like to give advance notice to the host that you would like to play, you are free to do so. Otherwise keep note of the event start times and join the host's Xbox Live party to start playing. You will be invited to join the Realm upon entry to the party as well. For new members/first time event participants coming from PC while we are primarily going to use the Xbox Live party system to communicate, the hosts of the event will be on the AJSA Discord channel to assist anyone from PC who would like to come play during this phase. Your primary point of contact on Discord will be Rune [Rune#5424]. Message him to get started. 2. So from the title you're probably already saying "But it does suck" but just hold on and bear with me while I try and explain why this game isn't as bad as people make it out to be. First off what are the common reasons people cite for why they don't like this game? Well for one it's story and characters are non-existent and there's pretty much no reason to care about yourself or the aliens you encounter as you explore the world because the world gives you no indication as to why you should care beyond "You have learned the Vy'keen word for warp!" but that's standard fare for almost any game where you're a silent/faceless protagonist exploring the galaxy. (e.g. Starbound) What about gameplay, that's gotta count for something right? I mean if I can be what amounts to a meaningless background character in my own nonexistent story then maybe mining rocks and shooting robots will be more exciting... or so you would think but after awhile it tends to get repetitive and without any drive to fight/mine (again because there is no story) then what's the point? I mean aside from recharging your weapons, life support, environmental shields, ship engines, ship weapons, ship shields, hyperdrive, and trading with various alien species... not much really. I should also point out that I find it incredibly convenient for massive chunks of mineral deposits to just be jutting out of the ground in plain view of everyone and yet no one (aside from me) seems to mine them. Which brings us to our final and unsurprisingly most redeemable point: Graphics. Oh my god are they amazing... It feels like I'm literally walking through a painting every time I step outside of my ship, and it's fucking phenomenal. Honestly, the only downsides are how it recycles a lot of models (especially for the buildings and wildlife) and textures, which can be pretty annoying. All that said why do I think No Man's Sky isn't as bad as people say? Because it's a lot like Skyrim when it was first released. Yes, yes, I know. How could this lame Indie title ever compare to a AAA giant like Bethesda's masterpiece Elderscrolls V: Skyrim? Easy. That game was a broken buggy piece of shit when it came out and yet was one of the most beautiful games I have ever played even though it constantly recycles models and textures (especially for dungeons) and becomes boring as hell after you've spent 40 hours becoming an unstoppable badass... or at least until you factor in mods that make the game far more interesting, which is something I hope will help No Man's Sky as well. All in all if you're a casual gamer you probably won't care either way but if you've been playing games for as long as I have then you know a terrible game when you see one. No Man's Sky isn't great and it has a long way to go before it can truly be considered 'good' but it definitely isn't terrible nor is it one of the worst GOTY, at least not in my opinion. No, that would be this... Honestly as Indie titles go No Man's Sky may as well be a shining gem sitting on top of a pile of shit. Plus it's even got it's own version of Hearthfire now!
  3. So here is Angry Joe's take on the much hyped independent title. Will the wildly ambitious game hit the mark?
  4. discussion

After years of conference's showing off demos and gameplay, No Man's Sky finally has a released! It's been nearly over 3 years since we first saw No Man's Sky. Think about that, and in that time so much has happen to the game. A flooding that took nearly the whole project right after the start, a secret lawsuit from an English cable company known as SKY, Sean Murray and his beard! But after so long of a wait we are finally here, able to explore a unknown and new universe. A dream many of us when we were young (Hell even today) share, each time we looked up to that star lit night sky. Whether you are interested in the game or not, the concept of what this game was and became is an impressive work of accomplishment. Now if you excuse me... I got some exploring to do! PS Blog "No Man's Sky: 7 Ways to Start Your Adventure" article link: http://blog.us.playstation.com/2016/08/09/no-mans-sky-7-ways-to-start-your-adventure/ Oh, I'll leave the new No Man's Sky Launch Trailer, and No Man's Sky announcement trailer from all those years ago... just to show the journey to get here.

There are Youtubers talking about the biased anti-Xbox marketing over this, sad to not be able to create anything interesting and to have to resort to that kind of content. They could have just posted a picture of the Origin page, clearly they hate PC gamers (though that would at least make slightly more sense as the beta skipped the PC). 6. Gamescom trailers, announcements, and interviews. Nintendo once published a game featuring nazis, baby Jesus, and the KKK. 10. If you haven't bought this game on PC already, please for the love of shit DON'T. The port is a disaster, even worse than Arkham Knight I am not kidding. It's got the lot! Buggy, crashes, server issues and all the settings are locked to the PS4 configuration. This is especially bad news for 4K users like me because it's in a fixed 1080p window..... Result...... All the settings in this window are locked except for On-Foot and Flight FOV Even with these limitations my i7 and Overclocked GTX 980Ti it was a choppy mess, this is by far the worst PC port I have ever seen. If you want to play this game you are much better of on PS4 right now, but even that has issues with crashing.

  12. In the spirit of gaming, I wanted to share this giveaway I found. It's from a sight that sells Shirts, Gloving tools (those gloves that have lights on them and you do cool light shows in the dark) and other accessories. If the Forum doesn't want this post on here, I totally understand and will take it down if asked or will not mind if it suddenly disappears. But I just figured that it would be fun to have us all do some kind of Giveaway thing ya know? Submissions end on the 10th of August (That's a Wednesday) and will be announced on the 12th! This is some kind of Limited Edition version of the system, so I think it comes with extra Bells and Whistles. Though it doesn't say what that includes, it seems to come with a game book with art in it and maybe some kind of metal case? Good luck to anybody that wants to try and win! https://wn.nr/YfQ99P
  13. Hello, everyone! It's your friendly, neighborhood contest seeker here to give you another chance to try and gain something nice for yourself with no charge to you or me. This contest I found is for No Man's Sky for the PS4. There is one hitch to this contest, though, it's only for 5 days! So make sure that, if you're interested, so get in on this quick! This contest is being hosted by Gameflip, a site and app that is for gamers to buy/sell games, toys and other nerd items that can make your day a little bit more fun. If you don't have a PS4 to play the game on, don't worry! I have another contest on this page that is to possibly win a PS4 WITH the same game! As a side note from me, I will be looking to find more contest soon that have other game systems so that everyone can have a fair shake. As before, if any admin believes that this should not be on the forums, please feel free to take this post down. And to all those who participate good luck! https://wn.nr/R4SBAM

  15. Disclaimer I will not let this defuse into a PS4/console VS PC argument. The moment I see that it does, which includes any memes regarding "PC Master Race", "Console Peasant's", "Sony Pony's" or anything of a disrespectful nature from either camp I will immediately report and request a lock. I'm a bit torn here, I know I wanna play this game but I'm not sure what platform. I've got a PS4 and a PC that in terms of power blows my consoles out of the water so from that perspective my choice would seem obvious. However, I just can't help shake the feeling my PS4 experience would be better. I'm more familiar with the PS4 community in the AJSA and they more exited about the game. I could see why as on PC there are other options like Elite dangerous, but unlike most of those this does seem to be the type of game where you spend most of the time on your own anyway. So I guess what I really want to know is despite my powerful PC I still value gameplay experience over anything else, so what do you think I'm better of with?
  16. I'll share RTU's thoughts on this since this is how I heard about it, then I'll share mine. Wow! I'm pretty shocked people are complaining about this. A colossal game with a practically limitless amount of possibilities and people are complain about the price of..... $60, the same as just about every other new game? Just because it's an indie game people think that that is somehow unreasonable? I really cant wrap my head around this! Seriously, I think people need to have a clearer picture of what the term Independent Developer actually means. It's actually NOTHING to do with the scale of the production! All it means is that they are developing AND distributing the game themselves without the aid or financial backing of a third party publisher. Because of that most Indie games tend to be small projects granted but.... Witcher 3, Fallout 4, TES: Skyrim, GTA V and similar games to No Man's Sky like Elite Dangerous and Star Citizen are all Technically Indie games as well. I am looking forward to this game and I got no problem paying full price for it assuming it lives up to all my expectations, but some people see the word "Indie" and automatically think "Cheap" apparently. What are your thoughts? Do you think $60 is reasonable for a game like this?

  18. So i was looking around on the internet and i found an interesting game It's apparently "a sandbox game of creation of survival" They don't seem to have a trailer but you can see this video about the game https://www.youtube.com/watch?v=K8hndMlDqdc and you can check out their website http://www.planet-nomads.com/ Personally i think it looks pretty interesting and worth looking out for What do you think?
  19. Hello Games has had an interesting history, along with an interesting year since their announcement of No Man's Sky. Meet the incredible indie studio in the UK that is taking E3 by force. How a small group of passionate gamers, craft one of the most ambitious science-fiction games. No Man's Sky, a game about exploration and survival in an infinite procedurally generating universe. Whether mountain ranges out of sight or planets beyond your horizon you can explore them. Fly seamlessly from a planets surface, to its orbit, and travel to any star you see. Explore uncharted solar systems, find new forms of life. Every planet different than the next. Choose to share your fidnings to rest in this universe. But it be no adventure without danger. Every solar system, planet, ocean cave, etc is filled with danger. Your ship is fragile, your suit is fragile every single encounter to test your limits. Every victory and every defeat will have lasting consequences. Where you go, what you do, how you do it is all up to you in this universe. No Man's Sky site: Click Here
  20. i mean come on, its every sci-fi fan's dream!
  21. hey i stumbled on a little know up coming game known as no mans sky today while i was at work (probably should have been working). I spent a while looking at it and figured out how it works see its a flight si.... a space explore.... a .. bounty huntin... its a universe you can play around in and do whatever you want. (kinda sounding like x rebirth or starbound or somthing like that right) well to me what makes it unique and well right down revolutionary is the universe is generated in a mathematical code allowing a gigantic universe. (if you visited every planet for only 1 sec it would take 5 billion years to see them all) but more importantly to me is that each planet (now its not out yet im just taking there word for it) will be different from the other in terms of animals, climate, landscape, native's, ect. not just the same animal you've seen 20 times with a different color actually different everything. with that thought i realize they actually might make it work (we will see how well it works when it comes out right now is just taking there word for it and speculation). this is really cool because they found a way to generate things that look like there hand done while never making them for 5 billion years worth of content just think how using the same method would improve any open world game. Or improve background detail. or make a game different each and every play through by making new creatures and towns and worlds to focus the game on. imagine a game like skyrim and when you made a new game everything changed the towns the creatures the factions everything. now this is just my speculation i want to see what you guys think does this game (and its possibility's) make you excited or do you think it wont live up to the hype its building itself up on.
  22.
