This is probably most relevant to fans in the US and Canada over 30, but I'm sure the fandom has spread overseas. Back in the early 1990s there was this AWESOME cartoon called ReBoot, the first completely CGI TV show ever (and a year or two before Pixar released Toy Story). Check it out here. By today's standards the animation and graphics are terrible! But what it lacks in technical ability it more than makes up in great characters, writing, and just plain geeky fun. Spoilers: season 4 ended on a major cliffhanger, which fans have been longing to see resolved (I think they did that in some comic books, but it just isn't the same). Then Rainmaker Entertainment announced there would be a "reboot" of the series. Fan's were skeptical to say the least. Then they released a trailer... Needless to say...well...you can read the comments yourself...

For the gaming industry, Lara Croft is one of the universal icons. The games themselves, in my opinion, have never lived up to their full potential; until recently. The 2013 reboot showed great potential, and the series really needed it. For me, the previous incarnations of Lara have been quite stale, robotic, with game play being very simple and not very enjoyable and most obvious, over sexualised. The new game has fixed most if not all of this for me, and with these new fixes, Lara now has new image, and it's a great one. Thankfully it has been confirmed that there will be a sequel coming to the next-gen consoles! With this new clean slate I'm curious on the character and story development. There is a big chance here and I would HATE to see the series move back into it's comfort zone of a blank, skimpy clothed character with a basic story. So! With all that said, what do you guys think of the new direction? Do you think it's a good one? What are your opinions or ideas on the future of the character and story development? What about game play? IGN next-gen sequel confirmed http://www.ign.com/articles/2013/08/01/tomb-raider-next-gen-sequel-confirmed
