So currently I'm trying to record "The Longest Journey" with msi afterburner and I noticed whenever I get to a cutscene it just doesn't record it at all. It will record the gameplay, but it will only record the sound of the cutscenes. I can only think it may be because of the manner in which they switch between the game and showing rendered scenes but it would help to know if anyone else has come across this issue and if so perhaps has a solution for this.
So for my future use, I ask of you, which one of these two is the better option? Option 1, HD PVR Gaming Edition 2 Option 2, Elgato Game Capture This is for PS3 recording mainly. Now if it's possible to connect a N64 or other consoles to them, that'd be awesome too, but mainly PS3 so assume that when you answer.
