Gamers Flood Baldur’s Gate Expansion with Negative Reviews After It Introduces a Transgender Character The same people and reactionary websites will complain about censoring a developer's vision due to them having their game localized, complain about censoring a developers vision with Overwatch because the developer agreed with feedback, and when a developer puts in exactly what they want, with no feedback, then they should never have been allowed to work on a game because what they wanted wasn't what angry reactionaries wanted. There have been a lot of reviews by people who have never played the game given their time indicator or likely ones who have never even played a Baldur's Gate game based on some complaints, people using out of context examples of writing that make perfect sense in context, people who don't know that Beamdog was founded by one of the founders of Bioware and their former lead programmer saying they have no experience with these kind of games, people who don't know how D&D spells work (I never understood why so many people like to pretend that they know D&D rules), and obviously people that don't want transgender or gay people in their games (possibly finishing it with a line about bugs so they don't sound too hateful). Because this isn't something many larger sites will review these assholes will make finding reliable information about the game more difficult as reviews and google searches are now filled with spam, youtubers making hot take videos where they go out of the way to show that they don't know what they are talking about (and some admit they haven't played the game), and sites dedicated to catering to toxic demographics. Before the reactionaries arrived there were complaints of a lot of bugs, some that required the game to be reset, mod incompatibility, the usual poor path finding common for the engine, and the multiplayer not working, as well as the more mixed reception to UI changes (a lot are really nice and helpful changes but the game just doesn't look right). If you are interested in the game here are reviews by people who actually played it and hopefully more detailed in depth reviews will follow soon, positive or negative, to balance out the spam. It might be an amusing forum game to find one NPC in random games, screenshot a line of dialogue, and then review the game as a 0 or a 10 based on whatever insane reaction you can create from it. 6. Article A lot of games have been getting removed not just from the App store, preventing new people from buying them, but also from purchase histories of customers who have already bought the game, preventing people from downloading games that they paid for again. If it was a game that was only available on the App store it would prevent anyone playing it at all over time. This isn't just from smaller companies but now from 2K, EA, Capcom, Sega, and possibly Telltale.
  7. http://virtuafighter.com/threads/sega-exits-console-video-game-market.19888/ How do I feel about this? As someone who grew up playing SEGA games when I was younger, it's heartbreaking but at the same time I had no idea that this would happen. Since 2001, SEGA became a software company providing games for many consoles through the 6th to 8th gen of consoles. Some were good while others were so-so. But after the failure of Sonic Boom: Rise of Lyric (despite the success of Alien: Isolation), it was inevitable that this decision had to be made. To be honest, SEGA got what's coming because they hardly promote their games other than Sonic games and you guys know that some of their Sonic games now aren't that good. They don't promote their other games and how can a game sell well if a company like SEGA doesn't promote it. That is dumb in my humble opinion. Really dumb. Now they're focusing their efforts on PC and mobile games. And speaking of Sonic, I hear from a source that Sonic will still come to consoles: http://www.4gamer.net/games/286/G028690/20150219001/ (in japanese, needs translation) But even I ain't sure. Only time will tell so hope to hear your thoughts.
  8. https://www.youtube.com/watch?v=r5ssg9VV8XU Go to 18:39 you won't be disappointed. (or maybe you will...meh you'll get over it) I said to myself, "If they just make a competent platformer then I won't really have much issue with this game.", but then they decided to add in a little Sonic '06 game design into it. At this point I'll gladly throw the dev under the bus. I suggest you avoid this one. It could be a one time occurrence, but one time is one too many in my book. I don't understand why Sanic can't get some reliable QA.

  11. Happy Birthday Sega Dreamcast you were an amazing system with some great titles. I remember buying you on launch and jumping straight into Sonic Adventure, Soul Calibur, and Ready 2 Rumble boxing. Closest thing we had to a Punch Out game until Punch Out for the Wii. That moment when you are taking on Chaos as Super Sonic will always stick with me. The hours injected into PSO. I'd do it all over again.
  12. The next Total War game is probably Medieval 3. We all hope that they learned their lesson with Empire and Rome 2. Medieval is my personal favorite Total War and I hope they don't mess it up. After SEGA banned me in their forum, I decided to make the picture that making fun of SEGA as SOPA due to response of TotalBiscuit boycott SEGA for removing an Shining Force III videos off the YouTube channels. 15. A rather large thread and probably one that most people will have a HUGE variety of choice in. Feel free to post why you like the system you select & which system it was you chose. So without further flooding of the start post lets begin: My favourite Console of all time would have to be the Nintendo 64 because it's got the best selection of games that i remember off by heart & enjoyed while growing up as a child in the 90's, popular titles such as, Conkers Bad Fur Day or Zelda: Ocarina of Time are just a few titles to name, and many of the games on the system were 4 player because there was no Online play, it was fantastic back in the day & i still enjoy a game of Mario Party with my friends.
  16. I would like to sit down with all of my Army friends and talk about a subject that has been on my mind for along time and i think with this i can take my point home batter. Recently Sonic the Hedgehog has been changing over the years and I Have grown up with him as i share the same birth year as him. when he turned 20 i did too so this game franchise has a special place in my heart. For my gamer friends who know of this, you know that sonic has been getting alot of flack over the years for changing so much. First he was a Mario sized blue animal that ran fast, then he grew green eyes, then he started getting allot of friends, and then he spoke, AND THEN he grew bigger... Now what i know of his initial creation was that he was a competitive mascot for SEGA, to use against NINTENDO's Mario. and that shows in the way the two ahve been used over the years....But i ask you why has Mario stayed everyone's (not speaking for everyone mind you) Fav. little mascot and sonic doing almost the same thing has become the but-end of every game fail joke ever. Well it is a little thing i like to call Human Expectancy (that is not a scientific term, i just call it that) It is the idea that as much as we talk about how much we want to change things we a humans don't like change as we say we do. Using sonic as an example. In sonic 1 we saw a competitor for Mario FASTER, cooler more sleek design, and cool levels to boot, and a great sound track( that i personalty love to this day). HOWEVER move to the second games of the franchise, the creators at SEGA, added the first of sonic's many friends, TAILS, to compete with the two man show the MARIO BROS. were putting on, now i don't get this muc h but some say the second one was not as great as the first, WHY IS THAT? Well it goes to my idea of that thing I said, The mario games by that point already had a two man show, so when they got to at least the super maro bros. 3 you still had 2 peeps. (and think of this Mario 2 in the US did not get as much praise as 1 or 3) See what i mean. The Devs. changed something drastically making the image of what we saw as sonic in the first one. As I continue you can see what is going on with what i am saying. You see Mario games have had the tendency to NOT CHANGE the formula...Play game, save princess, win game. SImple and i bet you can name ALOT OF MARIO titles that have had this trope. BUT that is not the case with sonic, FIrst game: Play game, save critters, win game. SONIC 2: play game, save critters, GET CHAOS EMERALDS FOR GOOD ENDING, win game(and have a fox with two tails come along) SONIC 3:play game,Save critters,Stop strange red dude(WHO YOU CAN PLAY AS NOW), get chaos emeralds, GET SUPER EMERALDS,GET GOOD END, win game. now i could do that for hours adding on and changing everything about every sonic game. But as you now can see it is the fact that as Mario has staid almost the same with a few minor changes OVER A LARGE SPAN OF TIME!, Sonic in every game he is in has changed something or another to some point. So in conclusion to my point, As i see it the only reason that sonic's fan base has been shaky over the years is because of the SEGA team try too hard to be innovative, but that is not a bad thing. As a matter of fact I like some of the additions and character that sonic has acquired over the years, but that is also the problem. BUt on the other hand, as great as Mario is i think that he is soon to start suffering from being to stale, i have noticed criticisms for the "SAVE THE PRINCESS TROPE" over time, but that is what they are, that is WHAT WE HAVE EXPECTED from his games. and with sonic you never know what will come out of his franchise at all. So before you think that something needs to be changed in a drastic way, just sit and think to yourself, "Do i really want the Drastic change or do i need to try slowly adding on with patience and moderation. THANKS ALL
  17. So, I don't know about the rest of you, but I really loved Valkyria Chronicles. I thought it was a very well made game with an interesting style of gameplay (for those who don't know, it's kind of like XCOM: Enemy Unknown). I played the second one first and just recently got the first game. However, Valkyria Chronicles II was one of my top games of 2010. I thought it was a very enjoyable game with a nice dosage of challenge. Like many fans of the series, I was very excited back in 2011 when I heard about VC3. However, Sega decided not to localize it. I ended up signing a petition to get it brought over but alas...it was not to be. Has anyone else had this sort of heartbreak over a game that wasn't localized? If so, feel free to share.
  18. These games Like the Awful Game "Cross Edge" are I like to Call "A Fans Dream Of Anime Games" There Soo FUCKING Fan Servicey, there can Be crowed (I Guess), And Even Though a crossover Game Has Low Ratings The Fans will still Love the games ( Except For Cross Edge that Game is the Worst Crossover Game Of All Time).

  20. A strange new teaser site from Atlus has appeared, complete with creepy heartbeat and a vague shape of a human embryo from an ultrasound. This is, as far as we know, is unrelated to the other teaser website ATLUS has had up for over a month or so, though it may have some relation to speculation of the former being a teaser for Persona 5. On the sides of the site, text "Persist 5" which is believed to be referring to Persona 5, "Gold 4" referring to Persona 4: Golden, "Trial 2" referring to Trine 2 and "C2" referring to Conception II. This is mere speculation but I digress. What do you make out of this folks?
  21. The game That I remember that made my childhood and just made me smile and had fun with alot.... playing with my brother back in the day Was "Mario Kart" that game was just perfection in every way playing with my brother
  22. First of all i just want to say how cool it is that the AJSA community lets people share videos so thank you now with that said here is the fist of my best gaming soundtrack videos i hope everyone enjoys and sees one of their favorite game soundtracks in this list this is just my personal list so please feel free to share your views on it or let me know what you thought were the best soundtracks of the console and mostly thank you very much for taking the time to watch this ill post my other lists soon
  23. Should Sega join the Console war once again?! I know it sounds so far fetch, but if you look at their activity of late they have been buying up small Japanese game companies left and right. The latest was Atlus, creators of the famed persona series and many other JRPGs. With these extra addition to their already owned IPs, they might have enough to pull off a comeback to the console market. What do you think? Should they come back to battle, or just stay a merchant of war?
  24. A free-to-play sequel to the classic DreamCast cult-classic, which was later ported from PC to the Nintendo Gamecube. Phatasy Star Online is a game that critics such as Total Bisket to the guys at Penny Arcade love as this fun game. If you want to try this classic game, try PSO:BB private servers, as they are servers that where alowed to be ran by the fan base. However, this is about the true sequel, unlike the Universe series, which was just a adverage spin-off of the Online series. This game was shown off two years ago at the Penny Arcade Expo and has won the customize award as the character creator is extreamly detailed, including the conserversal BOOB adjustments. (There's no way around that...) But that's not the fustrating part. THIS IS: http://massively.joystiq.com/2013/10/20/rumor-pso2-may-not-be-heading-to-the-west-despite-being-fully/ Sega, even when they promissed to port it over to the west for us gamers, Sega is doing the stupidest things by feading us lies just to keep the fan-base happy. Sure, it could be that western gamers have invaded the servers in japan, but part of it is because how far behind Sega is. This is no big surprize as sega has been doing stuff from the Shining Force copyright strikes, rushing games when they arn't finished, to even attacking and teasing their fan base. We understand if you guys are broke, but if you want money, learn from what Nintendo dose with some their licences and learn from their mistakes, like in the past. Hell, this is why game companies do to make money is to make free-to-play games, and PSO2 has a nice system where most weapon drops that help prevent people buying power at times. When FTP games has a system like that, it's doing something right. Right now, the game is going though Season 2 and the sea-beds are coming this mounth. If you guys want to try the game, I would reccomend using tweeker, a program made by the programer fans of PSO-world! and if you actually like this game, please give the fan base support. http://arks-layer.com/ Right now, I better stop raging. After all, that's Angry Joe's job.
