  3. Today we have landed on Terra Firma! With the launch of Medieval Engineers, I wanted to get everyone's opinion about the possibility of bringing the Space Engineers group to Keen Software House's new project once the server architecture is improved for both ME and SE.
  4. Hey guys! Maghorn here. I would like to announce a new weekly event that I will be hosting in Space Engineers being called the AJSA Galactic Tournament. Every Sunday at 12 EST I will activate a new server I created for events only. The server features a space station with 8 hangers, one for each competitor to build in, and a tower for spectators. On the day of the event we will all meet on the AJSA Space Engineers Teamspeak server, where I will assign hangars and coordinate the event. First Match: Sunday, February 22, 2015 at 2:00 PM EST Postponed indefinitely do to lack of players. The server features some mods that will make ship building a bit more varied. The mods included are the Azimuth Industries Mega Mod Pack, Dark Mechanicus's Orb Cockpit and Darth Boimech's Armored Thrusters. Rules of Engagement Each round may feature a 1v1 or 2v2 battle in an asteroid field. Competitors will be assigned a hangar to build in before the battle begins. Each fighter will be given up to 15 minutes to build their spacecraft. Fighters may only equip up to 3 weapons total, have up to 2 gyroscopes and 4 small or 2 normal rear thrusters. Armored thrusters count as normal. All ships must fit within the yellow box in the hangar. DO NOT RAM OTHER SHIPS. It's just cheap. When all weapons, thrusters or the cockpit is disabled, the broken ship will be eliminated and left as an obstacle in the arena. The arena is the group of asteroids set a short flight from the hangars. Try not to fly too far from them. Spectating There will be two ways to view a battle. Using Spectator Mode Watching the battle on http://www.twitch.tv/maghornServer name: AJSA Event Server Sign up will be first come, first served. Leave a reply to this thread if you want to join the next match. Each Monday a new sign up sheet will be posted on the Space Engineers forum, so be sure to look for it if you want to join.   5. Contest has ended. Submissions will not be accepted. Hey, guys. Maghorn here. To help me organize future in-game events, I want to split the game into 3 factions: Red, Blue and Pirate (Black). Players wont need to join a faction for normal play, only during server events they want to participate in. To make each faction more unique, I want to give each an individual faction skin, and that's where this contest comes in. I am not an artist, but I know there are plenty of people in the AJSA who are, so I am reaching out to you all. Rules for Submitting Each person may submit only 1 skin. Each skin must be 100% unique. Any skins found to be a duplicate of another Steam Workshop creation will be invalid. Each skin must feature AJSA icons, whether that is an image or text on the suit. The best place to put the logo would be on the arm, backpack or helmet. The primary color of the suit must match one of the three factions. Accents can be recolored, however, if the artist wants to do something like that.​ How to Submit When your skin is ready to be submitted, create a Steam Workshop page with screenshots of your skin, then paste a link to the Workshop page in the comments below.One skin will be chosen for each faction, and those skins will be used in-game for all future events.Submissions will be accepted until Saturday, February 14, 2015.The Workshop post below includes a template skin, and instructions about how to upload your skin to the Workshop. http://steamcommunity.com/sharedfiles/filedetails/?id=310230890 I hope to see plenty of people who want to participate.   6. Not really much to add by the name of the title. After trying to connect to the Space Engineers server, I connected to what seemed to be the aftermath of a angry space hurricane. An excessive amount of the map is filled with destroyed ships. I'm not sure if those were left by griefers messing around on the server, or if this community formed a giant space convey in which everyone simultaneously died of a heart attack, leaving a ghost town of empty, desolate ships. Before I digress to far, the server is not only littered with waste, but it contains so much, that I can barely play at a frame-rate of 10 fps before crashing. So if possible, could an admin of the server provide a much needed restart? It would be very much appreciated.
  7. During the Microsoft Press Conference at gamescom, Space Engineers, a bizarre intrastellar planetary game, took center stage. Keen Software House’s newest title is currently in Alpha on Steam, making the announcement that the full title will hit Xbox One first all the more interesting. Space Engineers, which has already sold 600,000 copies to date, requires players to build spaceships and explore the surrounding area. Everything is block-based, meaning players have to take into account the function of every piece they use. This is a historic moment, as Steam Early Access games tend to launch on Steam first.

  9. Note to Moderators: I am posting this in General Discussion because I don’t think there is no much traffic in the Other PC Games section. This is a post for those in the community who own Space Engineers and would like this game to become part of the AJSA. The point of this scenario is to see who is interested. Please make a post if you are interested in this. If enough people are interested this event will be given a set date. The year is 2066 ten years after the empire has collapsed. An effect of the collapse is the disrepair and neglect of remote bases and colonies. You have crash landed on moon home to an ex-military research center. Your ship has suffered a collision with moon particle debris causing engine failure resulting in your crash. The moon has been abandoned for over 10 years: Only robots and sentry turrets left to defend the remaining structures. With your tools damaged in the crash you must search the remaining structures for tools to repair your ship. Rules: 1. All turrets must be disabled by using the back panel provided on the model. No use of interconnected systems to disable turrets. Also, uranium can only be removed once turret is disabled. 2. Thrusters cannot be used to deliberately melt through blocks. 3. You have an unlimited amount of respawn lives but traveling back to the map is counted in time. You must drop all tools given to via respawn except what you had when you died and you must not use any materials provided by the respawn ship which must be shut down and ditched as soon as possible. 4. Matches should be around 40 minutes at max but a grace time can be given. Objective: Work together and collect necessary tools and escape in a fully mobile ship. All players that play must all escape past predetermined exit point to call time. To win you must be the quickest time out of all other teams. Oh, and have Fun! Each team will be set up as groups of three unless there is odd numbering then teams will be subjected into 2 players. Each match will have a judge to prevent foul play and to time the scenario. Map Used: Players are allowed to look at the map ahead of time. It is the fault of the player not the judges if a team member has not looked at the map ahead of time. http://steamcommunity.com/sharedfiles/filedetails/?id=261809970&searchtext= Map Note: There is a create under the asteroid and is not to be used during this scenario. Judge: Me 4 Teams of three. More Teams can and will be added if more judges are found. The Event will be for 2 to 3 hours. More judges will mean more matches being held at the same time. I would like to live stream this match if any volunteers can but at the very least I will be recording the ones I judge. Terms of joining: Must be a AJSA member. Must own or have access to a game of Space Engineers. Must work with an honor system alongside the judges.
  10. The MP for Space Engineers is more stable to the point where I can host events on my Laptop. Looking for people in the community who own SE and want to do a session. It can just be building, small ship combat (Got some stock ships), or a race in a obstical course. -protectorcrimson
  11. alright, so a little Bit about this game: Space Engineers is a sandbox game about engineering, construction and maintenance of space works. Players build space ships and space stations of various sizes and utilization (civil and military), pilot ships and perform asteroid mining. Space Engineers utilizes a realistic volumetric-based physics engine: all objects can be assembled, disassembled, damaged and destroyed. anyway post ship build's, set up a AJSA team for when the multi-player gets added.
