Dance Central Review
Short Version: Dance Central is THE reason to own the Kinect, an incredibly fun, engaging, and exhausting workout! Unfortunately it falls just short of expectations due to some glaring omissions and its bare bones style presentation.
Kinect Sports Review
Short Version: Kinect Sports is an incredibly fun sports compilation game and the best of its kind from the Kinect Launch Titles, however all of the special requirements; Hardware, room space, and physical activity limits its replayability a bit. With the right friends and environment though, Kinect Sports accomplishes its goal if only just.
Sonic Free Riders Review
Short Version: God make it stop! Sonic Free Riders has been my hands down WORST gaming experience since I started the AngryJoeShow. Never in my life has a game made me feel more sick, irritated, and downright annoyed than Sonic Free Riders. I despise everything about this game.
DJ Hero 2 Review
Short Version: The first DJ Hero was an overlooked Gem. Here, the sequel improves on nearly every aspect of the game – The Soundtrack, controller gameplay and new multiplayer modes. DJ Hero 2 is quite literally the perfect “party game”. You owe it to yourself to check this franchise out if you like this type [...]
Medal of Honor Review
Short Version: Medal of Honor is just average in everyway possible. Perhaps to eager to join the current trends by going “modern”, MOH is unfortunately not quite the production level of Modern warfare 2 and not as refined as Bad Company 2 – making it seem like a game without a strong purpose. Honestly, I [...]
Comic Jumper Review
Short Version: Comic Jumper is one of the funniest games on XBLA! And every bit as crazy in the head as Angry Joe. Even though the game can be frustratingly difficult – its well worth the effort for all of the fresh and creative ideas scattered throughout. It’s an easy buy at $15 on its [...]
HAWX 2 Review
Short Version: HAWX 2 makes some improvements over the original and boasts great mission variety. Unfortunately, a few of the new missions are borefests – combine that with a paper-thin cliched story and the game fails to be compelling enough for anyone other than fans of the genre.
Civilization V Review
Short Version: Civilization V is like crack cocaine for Empire Building Fans. The “Just One More Turn” mentatity took a strong hold over me and I ended up having a 16-hour long session. All of the Improvements to the Interface, the streamlining to the micromanagement, and the new improved combat mechanics make this game far [...]
Halo: Reach Review
Short Version: Halo: Reach helps wash away bad memories of ODST by delivering a polished compelling offline campaign with plenty of variety. Jetpacks, Falcon Gunships, and Space Combat portions help keep things fresh. Bungie’s multiplayer offers potentially hundreds of hours with an immense amount of control, content, and stat tracking to its online community. A [...]
Dead Rising 2: Case Zero Review
Short Version: Dead Rising 2: Case Zero packs amazing value for only $5! The same great gameplay from the original is back with even more unique weapons to carve up zombies with. Only now our actions feel like they have purpose as Chuck’s motivation is to keep his daughter alive rather than snap pictures like [...]
Kane & Lynch 2: Dog Days Review
Short Version: Its amazing how little effort went into this sequel to the notorious and mediocre Kane & Lynch: Dead Men. A unique visual style cannot mask a boring, aimless, and insultingly short story (4-5 hours) that has one of the worst endings in recent memory. The best part of the game is still the [...]
Monday Night Combat Review
Short Version: Monday Night Combat is one of the Best Summer of Arcade Games for 2010, the strategy elements alone make this title more addicting than your standard shooters. Unfortunately its light on game modes and could use a more substantial tutorial, but whats here is detailed and well balanced, an excellent first effort that [...]
