sorry but this movie sucked ass…..for starters Superman’s father dose not get killed by zod, he arrests zod and sends him to the phantom zone, then what the hell happened to the Sun dyeing and destroying Krypton….the planets core lol 😛 bullshit!!!
wheres the fortress of solitude….in place of that we have a space ship from century’s past that some how can still operate using from the present day Krypton gadgetry? be like sticking a USB stick in to a 8 track tape deck haha 😛
plus there was no Kryptonite only the atmosphere of zod’s ship that weakened the so called man of steel, ohh and what about the guy who tackles the him to the deck of the boat….yet if some one smacks in to the Supmyster with a car even when hes Clark Kent the car gets totaled….am i missing some thing here???
ohh yeah i forgot, while our hero is in the process of self discovery he creates the fortress of solitude and has to stay there for a period of time to learn from his father how to become superman 🙂 love that story 😛
any ways in summery this movie is the worst of all the Superman movies as they tried to change all the wrong things unnecessarily…i think myself if you are gonna make a movie that people know the story of and love the story of then at least stick to the original story line and just carry on from there, no need to change it, if it ain’t broke then don’t try and fix it, there’s loads more i could say about this movie that made me cringe but will let you all decide for your self’s, and if you read this thanks and sorry but its just my strong opinion that you give Man of Steel a big miss lol you will be less disappointed 🙂
I like Joe and I usually spot-on agree with his movie reviews but IMHO, not only is Man Of Steel one of worst Superman movies, but it’s one of the worst movies I’ve ever seen. I don’t care enough about this flick to go into all the reasons why I hated it so much but I just remember finding Micheal Shannon’s cheeseball villain voice nauseating, and I was immediately turned off by the dick measuring line which was not only completely un-funny, but obviously not suitable for the age group that it’s marketed to. A different twist on the comic book character, sure, whatever, but Superman will always be Christopher Reeves, as goofy as those movies were.

I’m amazed, I must say. Rarely do I come across a
blog that’s both educative and engaging, and without a doubt, you have
hit the nail on the head. The problem is something not enough people are speaking intelligently about.
I’m very happy I found this during my search for something relating to
this.
You really make it seem really easy with your presentation but I find this topic to be really one thing that I
think I would by no means understand. It sort of feels too complicated and
extremely vast for me. I am looking forward for your next post, I will attempt to get the hold of
it!
Keep in mind that the main objective of your

There s a lot of different stock market trading article directories that
you can easily monetize. Of progression, you need proper training.
I saw this review, then I go to see the movie, and now I’m writing this.
daaaaaaaaaaaaaamn man that was one hell of a movie, it was really the the best DBZ movie that we never had xD , I don’t even know what to say,
you just said everything Joe, well done, and I hope to see Man Of Steel 2, not batman cross superman cuz that super man seems really bad ass to man, batman’s tricks won’t pull the trigger on him, and the wired thing that when I wrote SuperMan with no space it is syntacticaly correct xD damn he is a superman xD xxx
I agree with you Joe. This movie is the best Superman movie ever made. It was all so perfect. The acting, fight scenes, CGI, and more! The only things that I did not like was some parts did not make sense. I understand the killing of Zod because Superman had no other ways to stop him. Plus, he’s a rookie dang it! And why are some people complaining about Superman destroying everything? (wut?) Zod did most of the damage! I saw Superman did some minor damage. Not everything! By the way, there were no civillians in the buildings of Metropolis anymore when the two Kryptonians fought. They all evacuated when they saw the world engine.
As much as I love your stuff and respect your opinion, I really can’t agree with you here. As a Superman fan, I really don’t like this movie. While the movie had a ton of flaws, the thing that broke it for me was ultimately what you said, that this is a different Superman. While I’m all for different takes, this doesn’t feel like Superman, at least to me.
You can reboot, remake, re-imagine something however you want, but if the core, the heart of the character and story wrong, it won’t feel like the character people know and love.
I absolutely agree with you, CJ! Even though this movie had amazing special effects, and down right awesome fight scenes, it was NOT Superman. His main objective is to preserve ALL life. There were multiple other ways the writers could’ve had him defeat Zod, but to say that he would kill some one isn’t a Superman I’d ever want to watch again. After watching that one scene I felt cheated as a fan. I even asked for a refund! This character, though similar, was NO Superman!
Superman can’t save everyone. He has killed few villains and never killed a human super-villain. There were no other ways to beat Zod or else he’ll learn to control or learn his new powers before Superman does. If you really are a Superman fan, you’ll know that there were more destruction in the comics than in this film.
Hey Angry Joe, are you going to make that spoiler Vlog discussion/review? I really loved this movie, but being someone that never read the comics I really want to understand Superman better, and especially in light of the movie what was the major character flaw that you wouldn’t spoil.
Just finished watching it on blu-ray….. As Joe likes to put it. “I’m angry” I’m leaving it at that. The story was terrible and now I’m going to watch the proper story to wash that filth out if mind.
Agreed on the point of unrealistic expectations of Superman; case in point the show before this one. I mean, his girlfriend actually says, he’s faster than a speeding bullet. Well, that’s fine. Good for him. But to be in all places at all times? He hears ALL the sounds in the world? Seriously?? That part was…well, I can’t see how that works. At all. I mean, if he could that’d be great, but then he wouldn’t be Superman, he could just call himself God or something
Hay there, Joe.
I like your show, and it’s refreshing to see someone who also holds Superman as the number one superhero in the comic universe.
I do like Batman, but to me, Superman has always embodied the true meaning of what it is to be a true super hero. It’s not just about the powers, or kicking bad-guy-ass, it’s first and foremost about being a symbol of good, an icon that people can follow and aspire to become.
People seem to miss that about him, all they see are the powers and because of that they see him as an un-relatable overpowered alien. When in fact he actually represents the very best of humanity, the best of what we can become as a people.
Anyway, I’d like to share with you a video I found (I was in no way associated in the making) on YouTube. Knowing you, you’ve probably seen it already, but just in case you haven’t… https://www.youtube.com/watch?v=XDr5Pdb88mM
For a fan made film, I think it is really well done and really captures the spirit of what I hope for “World’s Finest” (in regards to the Superman Batman relation and making sure they know it is primarily a Superman movie).
The audience is always right. I do not understand why Joe uses rotten tomatoes as a source. rotten tomatoes is verry inaccurate with its ratings.
Critics don’t look for good movies, critics are hired to give certain opinions.
Fight Club is one of the greatest movies ever made, but critics hated it for reasons that made no sense… Because they weren’t judging it based on how good of a movie it was, they saw a movie that spits in the face of society as a whole and made up excuses as to why the movie was not worth watching.
It was not until the viewers came in and corrected the critics intentional fuckups, that people saw the movie for what it really was.
Critics don’t know about life, and they can’t be expected to understand a movie.
OMG Joe, I agree with ya completely, this is THE BEST Superman movie I’ve EVER seen! I first seen it in the theaters, then I went to my cousins and said “OMG you guys totally have to watch it, it’s awesome!”, and they were like “Nah, don’t like Superman very much”, and I still dragged them to the theater, and they watched it, and they freaking LOVED IT!!!
The soundtrack! The freaking soundtrack in this movie is so FANTASTIC, I don’t even know where to start! Faora is such a Goddamn BADASS, Michael Shannon, Russell Crowe, ALL of the actors in this movie are simply great!
I seriously cannot believe critics are rating this movie lower than freaking Superman Returns!!! Really? This movie is WAY better!!! WTF!!!
There are even people saying that the original John Williams Superman theme was better than Zimmer’s theme for Man Of Steel! Bullshit, utter Bullshit!!!
I bet the low ratings are just because of the ending, I fuc*ing BET!
Well, I don’t care anyway, I’ll love this movie till the day I die, and after that too <333
Joe you surpriced me. I can believe that such a huge Superman fan like you liked this movie…. cant you see this is not how superman should be? did we even saw the same movie?
Lets put something aside first: I hate Superman as a character, ALOT, and no im not one of those diehard “Cause hes Batman” fans (Lobo for the win). Even though i hate him im the kind of man who respects his foes and i know what he represents (eve though there are others better examples). Why am i pointing this out you think?
Well because i cant understand that if a guy like me, who hates Superman, understands better what superman is and how he acts than this movie and apparently 99% of all who saw this movie.
The mayor point of this movie is to change Superman, to “redeem” him or shall i saw “Reform” him? but it fails miserably to capture the essence of Superman persona. This movie feels like it was made by one of those batman fans who think “Superman is a brute and only knows to punch stuff”. Thank you you just refirmed that theory.
Before i made research on who Superman really is i though, like many of you out there, that he was just a brute who just puches stuff and its invincible. But then i realized that Superman is suposed to be a kind hearted Hero who is kind enough to not kill his foes even if he has the strenght to do so, and such a vegneful soul that during fights hes always watching to keep the citizens safe and whos mere prescence brings hope to all those around him, hell he even cares more about protecting a building that his own life. Pretty much Like Goku who will always find a way to lure the villain to not harm the city and take the hits if its nesesary.
In this movie Superman is portrayed as a stupid little brat who just punches and destroys stuff and doesnt care about anything or anyone. Wait a minute… was this movie the origin of Superman or Superboy Prime? Because here he feels more like that Stupid Man-child that the real superman!
In any case this is the opinion of an enemy of Superman who hates him whit every molecule of his body but at the same time respects him and wants his legacy to be respected. Now if you excuse me i heard that SUperman is in Infinite Crisis (Game) so Joker and i have some business to attempt *ahem*.
Thanks for reading plz reply and tell me what you think
No, it’s clear that YOU didn’t watch the movie. Superman cared about the destruction that was being caused, hence why he told the civilians to get inside when the two Kryptonians showed up, and frantically tried to destroy the World Engine despite being weakened AND having a ton of gravity slamming onto him. He doesn’t punch things willy nilly. He’s fighting a bad guy who’s every bit as strong as him and is bloodlusted into wanting to kill every last human on the planet. Superman can’t force the fight elsewhere. If he flew away, Zod would simply go and kill people. Superman did chuck Zod into space in their fight, and Zod forced the fight back to Metropolis. In fact, Superman eventually kills Zod because of the destruction that’s going on. If he didn’t put Zod down when he had the chance, the resulting battle would eventually destroy the world.
So no, this is not Superboy Prime. To compare Man of Steel to Superboy Prime is absolutely asinine. In your words: “Did we see the same movie?” Because clearly you watched some other movie that’s not actually Man of Steel. Man of Steel respects the Superman mythos and reconstructs Superman for a modern audience. It’s a story about Clark BECOMING Superman, and if you were unable to pay attention to anything other than the fight scenes (which seems to be a big problem with everyone who was criticizing this movie) that’s your problem, not the movie’s. I don’t know, maybe it’s because I read so many comics, watched so many episodes of the DCAU, and played so many video games that I’ve simply adapted to being able to enjoy action without it completely distracting me from everything else. Watch the movie again and pay attention to the other stuff. Your criticism seems to be literally based around the fact that you didn’t notice anything about the movie other than the action scenes.
I hate how people complain about it not being hardcore Superman. Do any of you retard dumb ass fan-boys realize DC COMICS WAS FOUNDED ON CRIME AND VILLANY, DEATH, MURDER, DARKNESS!!!!!! the main reason the original superman was more shining super hero was cause it was after a world war and during the end of the great depression, them making some dark and cruel story would have been Financial suicide as most people would be horrified reading it. that’s why a year later when batman was made and the depression was finally at an end people could appreciate his more dark and cruel story’s, granted early batman was buy no means as dark as later interpretations. so I think Jerry siegel, and Joe Shuster would both be very proud of this interpretation.
I have read some comics of his, saw tons of movies whit him as a star and undersrand his powers and mythos and whatevers but I just don’t understand why such a cheap hero is so famous.
Maybe is it just me but every time I see a story about him I feel like its odvious he is gonna win cause he has so many powers and abilities its just ridiculous. All heroes and villains have powers and usually their stories revolve around how to deal whit their weaknessess but Superdump on the other hand feels invincible, like a “get out of jail free card” for the justice league and the DC universe overall.
And its sad that other heroes that should have more respect don’t because for some reason they prefer superman.
Onlu batman is close enough in fame but for good reason: his stories make sence and he skilled, very skilled, but not invincible.
Ok maybe I got carried away but my point stands. Here is the deal: give me at least one good reason why should I care about superman, one reason so good that changes my mind about him and I you guys win.
Ps: maybe I said it before but no I’m not a batman diehard fan boy, in fact my fav DC char is Connor Kent (whit Lobo stalking close) so don’t get the fanboy exuse please. I’m very open mind so please convince me
Awesome Krauser, being a non fan you are always going to see the more negative things. While I enjoy all comics and movies, I am not a major fan of say Thor or Marvel overall. In the first Thor movie, I felt it was paced way too fast while others loved it.
That being said, as Joe had said in the review this is a very new Superman. While he knows his powers and who he is, he is not experienced. He has to deal with situations as they come and learn from them.
As well, Zod would have pushed back and found ways to kill humans to get to Superman. That is a major factor into why he couldn’t just push him away. Imagine someone equally as strong as you yet with a much more strategic mind set. Will he follow you to the corn fields or will he try to hit you where it hurts?
As for Superman, he is not invincible. You need to read the comics more to understand. There is a point where he watches everyone he loves die and he gives up. Hangs up his cape. He has to deal with rocks from his own home planet being deadly to him, which alone is painful and was shown very well in the good but meh Superman Returns when he throws away a major part of his home.
As well in the DCAU there are great stories. One of them is a reason as to why Superman doesn’t dodge everything like missiles or bullets when he can; because he knows if that one stray bullet hits someone else they will die. He can take it so he does. Not only for humans but for other heroes as well.
Overall he does represent hope, that is what the symbol means and was defined before the movie even came out or was being developed. In this movie, I feel he is more in tune with the current New 52 Superman. He is at a place between worlds where he cares for humans but is still proud of his heritage on both sides.
The final scene between Zod and Superman was probably my second favorite next to when Zod threatens Ma Kent. The reason is because it shows the lengths Zod was willing to go, that he would not stop ever and there was nothing “known at least” on Earth that could hold him. This forces Superman to make probably one of the hardest choices he has to ever make, and that is to end Zods life (although if Death of Superman is relevant he might not even be dead). This pushes through a moral choice for Superman that unless he absolutely has to, unless there is no other choice left he will not kill. As well it shows the pain that instead of being able to find someone like himself to share with he is now alone (or is he; hint Kara) and even with companionship from humans such as Lois and his mother, he will always be alone as he will out live them and always have to worry about their safety.
It was a great Superman movie. People who say it wasn’t Superman, not it wasn’t the 1970s Silver Age Christopher Reeves Superman (yes I still love that Superman yet funny enough people were fine with that Superman killing Zod…..). But if you are a Superman fan and you have read the comics and watched the animated series through the years (I started with the old 1950s cartoons and wore the tapes out) you would know that this is Superman. That this defines more of him than even the last 5 movies ever has.
I just hope MoS 2 is decent. I would love to have more consistent Superman movies pushed out.
Dude, sometimes Batman’s stories do not make sense. He has dealt with path super-powered enemies with futuristic gadgets. I like him because he is just a normal human but a very good hero with gadgets, fighting skills, and intelligence. But I like Superman more because despite his powers, he is the kind of person that everybody needs to be. A person who helps others whenever in need and brings hope to everyone. And this movie made the character more realistic because of Clark living here in our planet hiding his powers and trying to fit in. It also made Superman inexperienced when he started to become a superhero. I am not forcing you to like Superman. It is your own decision to like him or not.
Hey there, I came across your site by way of Yahoo and google when evaluating an equivalent subject, your website got here upwards, it seems great. I combined with favourites features|added onto my favorites.
LOVED this movie. its what a Superman movie should be. Plenty action, great story, introduced Krypton nicely and flashbacks were really cool. Compared to Superman Returns, which i kinda also liked, Man Of Steel was far superior!!!
You are one of the Superman fans I like. Superman Returns is also a good Superman movie. But Man of Steel made me like Superman even more. (He was not my favourite DC hero in the past) One of the best movies in 2013! 😀
Considering how boring Returns was because there wasn’t any fighting whatsoever, I’ll gladly take too much action rather than too little, especially since the movie still manages to have all the necessary character development for me to care and like the characters.
Besides, it’s best they get all the physical action out of the way right now, because I’m sure the next movie will focus mainly on mental action. Lex Luthor and Batman can’t physically have a throwdown with Superman, but they can use their brains to give Superman a lot of trouble.
your name is dumb , and Joe ALWAYS says in his reviews “tell me your thoughts and opinions in the post below.” the fact the post board exist at all tell you they want to hear other people’s opinions.
so you can take that smart — attitude of yours and stick where the sun don’t shine 🙂
now that said I definitely intend to see this movie
Angry Joe please make an interview of Half Life 3 PLEASE!!!!!!!!! And play and review the game PLEASE ANGRY JOE I SAW MAN OF STEEL and it was great so do a favor for me please damn it!!!!!!
I am among th people who love Man of Steel. I actually prefer it a little bit more to the older ones ! But with this one, I finally got to see one of my all time favorite superheroes finally done right ! Now, if only they could do that with Green Lantern. And who else thinks Angry Joe should have a debate with Nostalgia Critic about Man of Steel ?
Done right? Sir you aren’t a Superman fan are you? NC is a movie critic and he knows about movies, he was 100% right about the movie, sure he may have given the movie too much shit, it would be worth a 5 or 6 in even the most angry critic scale but this movie is the same as Independance Day: Aliens kill people. I’m glad there’s no happy Superman theme when millions of people are dying all around and the only thing Superman gives hell about is dodging alien tentacles…
Avengers (which NC loved):
Aliens invade, all the heroes care about is making jokes. Don’t think people didn’t die there too.
I don’t know what his deal is. The only difference is that it’s a comedy, more than MoS and Independence day. But that can only make it worse. People die, and you make jokes about it, how morbid are you?
I do like the Avengers, and Man of Steel (haven’t seen Independence day), my only problem is how it seems all critics love Avengers, but hate Man of Steel
The Nostalgia Critic isn’t always right. He has made numerous bad videos with opinions that were clearly based on false assumptions. Everyone makes bad videos at times.
The Superman theme of hope is prevalent throughout the movie. Here is an alien species that’s totally hostile and far more powerful than anything the humans can throw at them. The humans would’ve all died without hope, but Superman, working in concert with the humans, manage to beat them. Hows that not Superman? That “dodging alien tentacles” quip you made is actually the biggest exemplar of this fact. Superman is fighting against a hostile alien terraforming machine WHILE being weakened by the atmosphere. He still pushes on despite these weaknesses, though, and that’s what Superman is about. It’s clear that you don’t understand Superman, and the Nostalgia Critic doesn’t really understand Superman either outside of the Christopher Reeve movies that haven’t reflected Superman’s character since at least 1985 (Crisis on Infinite Earths, anyone?)
To start off, I must say I really liked this movie and the way Superman is presented (I’ve never read any of the comics but I’ve seen the other Superman movies and a number of cartoons) but I did have some issues with the movie.
What I liked:
– The tone of the movie was spot-on for me. I always felt that the Superman 1and 2, whilst being classics that I still enjoy to this day, were quite corny and goofy. MOS was not so bright but also wasn’t over the top dark and serious either – which was a bit of problem for me with Nolan’s Batman trilogy (superb movies but seriously… Why SO serious? :D)
– Henry Cavill was an excellent Superman! I liked how larger than life and yet how calm and quiet he felt. Very different to Reeve, in some ways better and some ways worse but really good nonetheless. The rest of the cast was quite good as well and didn’t feel like “plot vessels”, and the villains were pretty cool too. This Zod was less flamboyant and memorable than Stamp’s but still pretty awesome, and Faora (name?) was just a delight!
– Amazing action sequences… Just incredible! My only complaint was that it was a bit unclear how badly the fighters – Supes and the Kryptonians – were hurt despite seeing the huge devastation in the world.
What I didn’t like:
– I felt that the plot was too busy, and that they tried too much to squeeze in a lot of themes – which normally would be a good thing, but because they tried to pack so much stuff into the film it is often touched upon only superficially. Compared to Superman 1 and 2, the plot is more grand and epic but less focused and tight IMO. I felt like they really wanted to make more than just a summer action flick, but the aforementioned problems resulted in the action overshadowing the story.
– Clark-Lois romance… No real depth and felt pointless and contrived, didn’t benefit the story in any meaningful way.
– I felt that MOS lacked some of the flair and heart that made Superman 1 and 2 classics. I do prefer MOS as a Superman movie – but I consider Supes 1 and 2 to be better movies as a whole because watching them still evokes quite a bit of feeling in me, something that MOS mostly did in a more superficial way. This may seem silly… But to this day I still can’t bear to watch Clark giving up his powers and getting his butt kicked by that trucker in the diner in Superman 2! :S Which makes his subsequent comeback all the more satisfying. I never got the same intensity of feeling in MOS unfortunately.
Despite the flaws, I still liked MOS a lot and think it’s well worth the money! Its greatest success is making me really enjoy a superhero I was never overly fond of (he always felt a bit too perfect and boy-scoutish for me). Can’t wait for a sequel – there’s so much they can do!
The film Superman deserves. I think Snyder was on point in almost every aspect. After the disastrous misinterpretation of The Watchmen, I am really pleased to see Snyder actually listened to us comic book fans & went a 100% to give us what we wanted. Because when it all comes around, we are the most important audience, since we are the ones whom always anticipates & understands the concept of the superhero.
All in all, the film could’ve been better, its major downfall being the vast amount of content they had to introduce in a convenient way, leaving some huge plot holes for those who haven’t read-up on the Superman mythos. This is really annoying considering the fact that it is supposed to be a complete reboot and if someone is to be introduced to the franchise with this movie, they’ll need to do a lot of research to understand it.
With that said, this is still the film Superman deserves. It’s over the top action rather being its strongest perk than a weakness.
i was a bit sceptical of this movie at first since i wasn’t a fan of the OP boy scout type of super man but this movie compleley reinvents or recreates superman and they also got rid of the red underwear ( +1 ) which made his costume so much more immersive. the sci fi was great it added an extra layer of awsome to the film. i cn understand why some people have complaints about the quick changes in scenes the two parts mainly being the space ship to fishing ship and the interrorgation cell/room to the desert but it didn’t bother me too much. it really sucked for me because the film they were showing in Australia they had removed the scene where Lex luthor goes on about superman that you mentioned so while everybody else had left the cinema i was watching all the credits pass by only to find that they removed it and that was probably my most disappointing experiance during the movie or i should say at the end of the movie. i also had one other small complaint which was that while ZOD was attacking the Earth instead of earth as a whole taking on ZOD it was Just the the U.S army, and superman with all the locations being of mainly America. of course this is what supermans story is based on smallville, Metropolis etc. i just feel like the scale of the movie would have been larger i the entire world was reacting and better for it. other than my small preferances its a great movie although will proably wont be watching it as much as you have Joe.
I think it’s just amazing that a whole planet of Supermen couldn’t save their own planet, yet going to any other planet, they suddenly could destroy them. I’ve read about that yellow sun theory, but that’s only part of it, isn’t it, because basically they’re just stronger because of greater gravity of their homeplanet, and I think it was about as strong as a “freight-train”. Even if the yellow sun made them a hundred times stronger or, let’s be stupidly generous, a hundred thousand times, they would be nowhere near to destroy or displace a planet, or have some effect on space-time. The fact remains, a whole planet of Supermen failing to save their own planet, makes this all incredibly strange. This is not the only thing of course, but since it is the beginning of it all, it would be the main point of any discussion, it seems.
Yes this is a major plot hole and the strangest part of it is that in the comic it is very easily explained; only Jar-El knows that the planet is going to be destroyed & when he tries to convince everyone else, they reject him as mad because Brainiac denies his theory would come true.
I don’t really remember the scene that well, but from what I can remember they didn’t say anything about it, which makes the whole event very strange.
Or it’s more accurate to say it’s strange that they couldn’t save themselves rather than their planet. It seems Supermen could survive an event like this (unless the whole planet collapses on him, perhaps).
Such an event definitely puts some limitations on him that otherwise never come up in his own story. I guess that’s partly covered by Kryptonite, but I don’t think there is any consistent explanation of his powers. Apart from that, there obviously seemed to have been other Kryptonians elsewhere in the universe.
On Krypton, the Kryptonians are as powerful as normal humans. So they can’t, say, fuse their planet back together or rebuild a new core. They are far more advanced than us in technology, but that doesn’t give them Superman-level superpowers unless a yellow sun and an Earth-like atmosphere is introduced. And the whole “Krypton being a bunch of suicidal ostriches that buried their heads in the sand while everything went to hell” is a big part of every Superman mythos. They nominally have the capacity to leave, but their innate desire to not deviate from their standard lifestyle, regardless of the consequences, meant that they perished despite all of Jor-El’s warnings.

any ways in summery this movie is the worst of all the Superman movies as they tried to change all the wrong things unnecessarily…i think myself if you are gonna make a movie that people know the story of and love the story of then at least stick to the original story line and just carry on from there, no need to change it, if it ain’t broke then don’t try and fix it, there’s loads more i could say about this movie that made me cringe but will let you all decide for your self’s, and if you read this thanks and sorry but its just my strong opinion that you give Man of Steel a big miss lol you will be less disappointed 🙂
This movie was putrid dog dookie
amen
Sooooo Batman v Superman reviews are out, Joe. Where’s your God NOW!?! WHERE’S YOUR GOD NOOOOOOWWWWWWW

What do people have against this movie?
I’m amazed, I must say. Rarely do I come across a
blog that’s both educative and engaging, and without a doubt, you have
hit the nail on the head. The problem is something not enough people are speaking intelligently about.
I’m very happy I found this during my search for something relating to
this.
You really make it seem really easy with your presentation but I find this topic to be really one thing that I
think I would by no means understand. It sort of feels too complicated and
extremely vast for me. I am looking forward for your next post, I will attempt to get the hold of
it!

Justice League by the Nerdist, and not the WB

I loved this movie, and I like the Christopher Reeves movies too, but for me, Man of Steel was a fantastic thrill ride.
Sir! I have seen the movie, SIR!
Sir! I have seen the movie ten times, sir!
at last a great superman movie
Please do Spoiler review and discussion.
Knowing you, you’ve probably seen it already, but just in case you haven’t…
https://www.youtube.com/watch?v=XDr5Pdb88mM
Well, I don’t care anyway, I’ll love this movie till the day I die, and after that too <333
I will love this movie FOREVER. 😀
I’m very open mind so please convince me
thiemer, Superman was actually originally created as a villain not a super hero:
http://www.comicbookmovie.com/comics/dc_comics/news/?a=49553
He almost looks like Lex Luthor in that.
Remember when you found the word “path” in my last comment? Ignore it. The auto-correct is just making me mad right now.
just saw man of steel! this movie is by far the best super hero movie i’ve ever seen… greets from germany
I loved this movie a great SuperMan flick 9/10
My biggest issue with this movie is that the fight scenes went on way too long! Other than that, best Superman movie I’ve seen.
Still watin on that spoiler review!
Read my name.
your name is dumb , and Joe ALWAYS says in his reviews “tell me your thoughts and opinions in the post below.” the fact the post board exist at all tell you they want to hear other people’s opinions.
so you can take that smart — attitude of yours and stick where the sun don’t shine 🙂
now that said I definitely intend to see this movie
Angry Joe please make an interview of Half Life 3 PLEASE!!!!!!!!! And play and review the game PLEASE ANGRY JOE I SAW MAN OF STEEL and it was great so do a favor for me please damn it!!!!!!
Dude, HL3 hasn’t been announced.

Exactly. What is Superman if not broken?
i was a bit sceptical of this movie at first since i wasn’t a fan of the OP boy scout type of super man but this movie compleley reinvents or recreates superman and they also got rid of the red underwear ( +1 ) which made his costume so much more immersive. the sci fi was great it added an extra layer of awsome to the film. i cn understand why some people have complaints about the quick changes in scenes the two parts mainly being the space ship to fishing ship and the interrorgation cell/room to the desert but it didn’t bother me too much. it really sucked for me because the film they were showing in Australia they had removed the scene where Lex luthor goes on about superman that you mentioned so while everybody else had left the cinema i was watching all the credits pass by only to find that they removed it and that was probably my most disappointing experiance during the movie or i should say at the end of the movie. i also had one other small complaint which was that while ZOD was attacking the Earth instead of earth as a whole taking on ZOD it was Just the the U.S army, and superman with all the locations being of mainly America. of course this is what supermans story is based on smallville, Metropolis etc. i just feel like the scale of the movie would have been larger i the entire world was reacting and better for it. other than my small preferances its a great movie although will proably wont be watching it as much as you have Joe.
i agree completely. to me, it was the first superman movie that gives me hope someone (zack snyder) could do a darkseid movie.
Joe, your review has pretty much nailed all aspects of this awesome movie 😉
Pacific Rim next ? YESSS ???
/bye from Italy
