Considering your reason,I still think it should be 7 or even 8 for non-dc fan. May be because I play this game on ps4 but you start with pc .
Lame, screen is to busy street driving sucks, just a button mashing game
This game sucks….
——Warn–a–Brother—
This is the real reason why Angry Joe gave it a 6:

wtf dude
no glitches by me
Dayum.
you do realize that superman has had his ass handed to him on several occasions by batman even without kryptonite…
superman is the one always needing help from batman… at least in the original comics, superman couldn’t stand against batman’s the superman buster (super tank suite).
bullshit superman beats batman all the way
This game is special what kind of special it is one joker instant win right away but the batmoblie THE FUCKING BATMOBILE SO Damm repetitive and no flair which sucks because this game was so hyped but it ended up being like the last games But ONLY WITH THE DAMM BATMOBILE
Id say closer to 7/10 maybe even 7.5 (on another reviewers scale). 6/10 is a little harsh I feel. Either way I enjoyed the review Joe.
The segments with the Batmobile were so boring to me… Apart from this, I really enjoyed the game, it was fun flying around Gotham. I’m really curious about the Batgirl DLC.
All your reviews suck the big one you fucking spic !
Erm .. no they don’t you fucking prick! Joe’s reviews are honest and bullshit free!
I think the PC version is going to be a landmark. Instead of patching, they are entirely recalling the game. Hold on to your boxes, because I think they will increase in value when the publisher pulls out of the PC market! They probably make enough on the consoles that with the PC being problematic, they will just quit. They really don’t devote much time to the PC ports, farming them out to 3rd parties, so why not just get rid of the headache? Let’s see if I am right.
The only landmark with the The pc Version in this particular iteration is steam refunds.. and no I dont think WB will abandon porting to pc and throw away 120 to 240 million bucks in possible sales, and thats lowball in a typical year a good pc game or port will do over 2 million in sales .. Pc is here to stay just like consoles.. it would be better to gut thier advertisment budgets and spend them on making the games even better on all the platforms..
Everything about this game is goddamned terrible. The car chases would have been cool but they have you platforming… in the friggen batmobile. The sonic marks the riddler uses work maybe ten percent of the time. And I’m playing on the console. The Riddler race tracks are beyond stupid. It’s like they had to shoehorn in the batmobile in every single aspect of the game and it’s suffered for it. Not to mention that great villians like Two Face are regulated to bit parts and the Joker doesn’t shut the hell up, even when you’re trying to hear some other dialogue.
You know something Joe… I was wondering if the DLC raises the score on this one at all? I really was waiting for the verdict on this game because it was going to be the system seller for me.
Ya I still haven’t bought a PS4 or XBoX One just because I haven’t had a reason. I bought the Wii U for Super Smash Brothers and the new Zelda due out early next year but nothing is making me want to get one of these other systems as of yet.
Graphically gorgeous, too repetitive. The only franchise featuring a super hero worth buying in the last 3 years. Pity this one is sooo average. I was watching a bunch of your old stuff on youtube and im glad SOMEONE is calling out devs and publishers about price, quality and when they blatantly rip gamers off. It’s so annoying. In protest, all we have are guys like Angry Joe grandstanding on his channel, on his OWN, and doing a great job. Why more of us aren’t willing to stand up and say fk you to greedy, cash hungry, dishonest game develepors/ publishers i will never know? I went off topic but take a look at how many post’s there are on youtube on the subject of gamers getting ripped off and im SURE any one of you would be pissed off too. Keep calling them out Joe, im with you mate.
Thank you Joe. The hype was bigger than Pluto is away from us.
Holy CRAP that batderpdance.
Be nice to see a superman, wonder woman, thor, or something, personally don’t play dx/marvel games anymore cause they don’t feel too satisfying to me. I love see game combine mechanics of arkham and bit of something like just cause. Combo indoor/outdoor level explorations with variety vehicles, weapons, and high tech gadgets ^^ Maybe as super hero, some mercenary/soldier, or brand unique super hero. lol always up for something new and interesting.
I found the game disappointing as well. Riddler’s taunts and courses were aggrivating and sometimes, the dead bodies case wouldn’t show up even when they came up, so there’s that.
Honestly, I would’ve preferred a game based on Terry McGinnis stepping into the role as Batman; taking on villians like Inque, Curare, Chimera, and Blight. That would’ve been a better game than what we got.
When I was a kid and cartoon show commercials would show Batman toys, they would inevitably show him firing missiles from the batmobile and I would always think “Batman doesn’t use missiles, you guys are totally missing the point.”
This game put be back there, facepalming at how they got the character wrong.
I agree with your points should of been co op, too many drones, boss battle sucks(fighting people like dethstroke in a tank is weak as hell) story was short…villains seem cut out to be sold later to you as dlc…game is def. not worth $60, and DLC (season pass) surely isnt worth 2/3rds main game price of $40…so I suggest passing on that over priced hyped garbage looking crap. Once again another disappointing game of the year…I give it a deserving 5/10. I 100% the game in less than 80 hours and in no way is that worth full retail price when a game like GTA V can last 100 x that long in terms of hours enjoyed/replay-ability. I’ll be skipping the season pass atleast until its about $10 on steam. $40 is a slap in the face price gouge on top of a already over priced game thats obviously just thrown together has a quick cash in on a over done game series hence the weak boss battles/lack of villains. Spoiler alert: WB killed batman!
80 hours of content isn’t worth $60… seriously?? I understand the season pass and did not purchase it, but I would not rate this game the same as Amazing Spider-Man 2. It is not of that quality. I find it pretentious to say that 80 hours of content isn’t worth $60 when so many other games offer just shy of 20 and refuse to bat an eye about the price. I put just as many hours into Arkham City and it was well-worth the price, and I never bought any of its expansions. I give this game an 8, cause I really missed the stealth sections, which it clearly lacked in favor of the batmobile.
to put into perspective what MY $60 is worth to ME…I bought GTA V for $60…they give out FREE dlc, free heists, HAVE online mutliplayer, and I have HUNDREDS of hours of multiplayer for the same $60…so NO this def. isnt worth $60 in comparison.
That logic makes no sence… so if a game doesnt reach GTA V standards, it isnt worth the money? Do you not support game development or are you too cynical to accept that games cost money to play and youre just cheap? Its an unfair comparison either way. If you have enough for a gaming PC then how can you say this is a poor value for $60. I think if a game provides at least 30 hours of content out of the box with replay value (which to me this game has) then I have no problem dropping $60 on it. GTA V has nothing to do with this; youre rating is based off of another game that has little to no similarities with this one. I wouldnt drop that money on Call of Duty or The Order since there is very little content an no replay value (for me). I would pay a macimum $20 on that, an thats even if I wanted it. 5/10 just seems too harsh and biased with a flawed reasoning as to the rating. I dont recall Joe ever saying anything similar to that, like if he said, “Dont buy Tomb Raider, just buy GTA V, you get more for your money.” Celebrate all good games, not just one.
uhhh hello mcFLY….this game has 0 replay value…please remove head from behind…its a 5, maybe 6 if you’re feeling generous…boss fights suck (check), no co-op (check), challenge maps taken out to sell to you later in DLC format (only replay value batman ever had now removed for dlc) (double check)…dont be so ignorant with your money and you could afford the pc gaming rig and X1 I have. Batman was only worth the $25 code I bought it off someone from..nuff said..rest of you..full price retailers plus season passers (especially) got bent over.
Just realized he never put up a score. the 6.4 (6.5 after my vote) was user score
If you didn’t get ripped off from the pc version would the score be better.
I don’t think Joe’s ever played Origins, the detective mode was pulled from that. And we’ve had disappearing/smoke ninja’s and electric rod troops since 1, they’re nothing new and have never been able to just spam attack.
One point that I think was missed was that I think the developers really overstated the size of the world. Claiming at E3 that it was like 5 times bigger than Arkham City. It wasn’t. Maybe the map was that big, but I doubt it. On top of that, it was mostly water on 3 islands. What made it worse was that barely any density to the game. Sure Arkham City was smaller overall map size wise, but it was very dense with lots of places, nooks and crannies to explore. Arkham City was brimming with depth. Like the old subway and branching areas and great variation in art design between areas that just made Arkham City come alive. Arkham Knight on the other hand (apart for maybe 3 special areas) was pretty much completely the same all the way through it. You were almost always above ground and outside. By the time you were a couple hours in, you had pretty much seen almost everything the world had to offer (again apart from a couple special choice areas). Sure the world was bigger, but it had no density, no depth and nowhere near the character Arkham City had. Hell, even Arkham Asylum felt bigger. As a result, I was really underwhelmed by Arkham Knight in comparison to the two previous titles (excluding origins as I was never able to complete due to gamebreaking bugs). I think joe’s score is a fair score. I was not all that impressed by this game other than Joker who I found myself referring to him as Harvey Joker.
Good point, I never thought of that.
Hi Joe!!!
Most of the time you spot on with your review, but I think you not on the Arkham Knight. I agree wit many things you said, but the game is not 6/10. Most likely 8/10 (4/10 on PC is correct 🙂 ). Maybe your PC elitist inside is hurt a little bit, because the PS4 game is superior this time, or you can’t forget Batman the fact, he is much more popular and cool, than your favorite alien :).
Anyway, your review is fun and entertaining as usual, so keep up the good work!!!
Most of Batman’s Villains are regulated to repetitive side missions.
regulated should be relegated
Thanks for the review of course, better include that so I don’t come across as some snarky internet grammar nazi
Let’s not forget that after three games and then going into Arkham Knight they still haven’t figured out how to fix Batman’s grotesque and swollen right arm and his tiny little left arm.
Thanks, Joe.
baymang joe is dumb
hilarious batman meet superman and angry joe
I would have given a 7/10 (I use your scale to rate all games) and I think the PC port tainted it for you, but it was a fair review. I will say that I thought there weren’t too many tank fights, so it is a matter of taste on that one rather than a 100% consensus like the lack of boss fights.
I’m curious what you would have given Origins, since I don’t think you got around to reviewing it.
Thank you Joe. You got right to the point where the flaws of this game are. I truly loved the other Batman-Games but I will skip this one and not only because of the sh.t a.s fu..ed up PC version but because of the d.mn jumpscares. I fu..ing hate this crappy sh.t because it throws me out of the game. I cant’t dive into this world when I’m thrown right out it with some cheap scares who do noting to support the atmosphere but instead take it down hard like with this gargoyle-bat-thing. The other part is that I never finished all collectibles because is was to repetitive and sometimes to hard to get the timings right. But if I need them to get the final ending I have to say I rather enjoy a let’s play at youtube. Thank you Rocksteady for helping me save my money. Thank you Joe for taking the heat of the fanboys because of your honesty.
That is literally the only jump-scare in the whole game and it works well because it is introducing a scary character. don’t judge a game by one scene. You won’t want to do all Riddler trophies, since that’s an extra 15 hours, as long as the main campaign, but I would still pick this game up, even if it’s once it drops to 20$ in a year or two.
I have to disagree. There are more such moments. People who appear suddenly behind you for example. A friend who played it on PS 4 told me so. He likes such stuff and it’s OK for me but I am to nervous to stand it and he knows it so he was nice and warned me. Anyway I expected such stuff given that Scarecrow is the main villain. 😉
And it’s not the price that keep me from buying the game. I spent 120 Euro for some editions of games without breaking a sweat. If it’s worth the money I’ll pay gladly. This time I skip because I can’t see that I would enjoy it as much as other games. Simple as that.
Last but not least. Thank you Bloodshed113094 for not judging me or calling me coward or anything even more disrespectful just because I’m jumpy.
Don’t worry about it. I can’t stand horror much either, although it’s developed more into hatred than fear. Why the fuck was there an Insidious 3 trailer before Avengers 2?
what do you mean a year or 2 ? lol I picked this game up for $25 off ebay when i bought someones gpu download code promo offer from nvidia a month before it even released….and thats all its really worth to me being a less then 80 hour game having 100% it in less then 80 hours…pc is better then consoles because you’re able to find deals like these gpu download code offers while consoles stick it to your at full retail price for years because of their proprietary b.s. All you have to do is find trusted sellers and be a savy shopper…witcher 3 and batman both $5o…score!
And this is why I think PC gamers are arrogant and annoying.
and this is why i just quenched my thirst with your tears crybaby…
Thank you for reinforcing my point. Don’t be a jerk. No one will like you.
80 hours isn’t enough?
As a PC gamer… the fuck lololol.
I’ve played a lot of good shit shorter than 100 hours… the few games that have lasted me 100+ hours? They’re RPG’s, mostly on handhelds/consoles.
That may be your preference but it’s still equally as stupid as saying durrrrr only games with good graphics are worth 60 bucks!
As a “PC Gamer” optimum Game length is between 15 and 60h depending on the genre in my opinion. Everything below is cash robbing, everything above unnecessary dragging the game into the length. Thats why I played Skyrim but enjoyed other games much more. Witcher 3 has its own “issues” and will be the next game I’ll have no difficulties to avoid 😉
We should also not forget replay value. I can spend 100h with a 15h game and only play a 60h game once and never touch it again.
