Inventory Changes

  • Alt-click on inventory items alerts your team that the item is ready, in cooldown, or needs mana
  • Quick Buy shows stock cooldown time for items that are out of stock
  • Quick Buy purchase hotkey buys the first eligible item
  • Item purchase notifications now show up as a graphical popup on the right
  • "Grab All" on stash is now available while the hero is dead
  • Alt-click on items that can call for a gather (Arcane Boots, Smoke of Deceit, Mekansm) broadcasts a gather message and pings your location
  • Alt-click now works on passive abilities that may have a cooldown (e.g. Wraith King's Reincarnation)

  • You can now load an ally into your snowball within 400 range by right clicking on them
  • Snowball moves 75 MS faster for each allied hero inside it
  • Snowball deals 20/30/40/50 extra damage for each additional hero in it

Undying

  • Soul Rip area of effect increased from 975 to 1300
  • Tombstone Zombie Deathlust's Max % health threshold increased from 5/10/15/20% to 20/25/30/35%
  • Tombstone Zombies no longer give any experience or gold

Eul's Scepter of Divinity

  • Cyclone now deals 50 damage to enemy units when they land
  • You can now cast Cyclone on yourself while you are magic immune

Manta Style

  • Mirror Image now resets the current attack and spell targeting priority 

Mjollnir

  • Chain Lightning damage reduced from 160 to 150
  • Static Shock area of effect is now centered around the unit with the Static Charge, rather than around the attacker
  • Fixed Chain Lightning not functioning properly when it procs while a previous proc is still bouncing 

Necronomicon

  • Necronomicon Warrior's movement speed rescaled from 330/360/390 to 350
  • Necronomicon units XP bounty increased from 59 to 100/150/200

Observer and Sentry Wards

  • Sharing wards with allies now requires a Control key override.
  • Wards can no longer be placed in the fountain areas

Pipe of Insight

  • Pipe health regeneration reduced from 11 to 8
  • Pipe now provides Insight Aura, which grants 4 health regeneration to nearby allies
  • Pipe's active buff is no longer dispellable

Rod of Atos

  • Cripple ability cooldown reduced from 12 to 10

Scythe of Vyse

  • Hexed units' base movement speed increased from 100 to 140

Shadow Amulet

  • Fade no longer requires the target to remain stationary

Shadow Blade

  • Shadow Walk duration increased from 12 to 14

Town Portal Scroll

  • Added an option to require a halt command to in order to cancel a Town Portal Scroll

Yea this update is pretty crazy I'm loving the update to Lina and the update to abaddon. This is gonna change the metagame alot BB update now hes even stronger lol!!  Plus are they changing Windranger's name again back to Windrunner lol.

Well, this entire patch note thing has turned the game over its head.

 

First off, get fucked Lycan and Ember.

 

Secondly, they buffed a lot of supports. KotL aghs upgrade is interesting, Lich aghs upgrade is now in the wtf levels, Omni is just better overall, SD aghs upgrade can be game changing. They nerfed a lot of popular heroes as well, like Naga siren carry nerf (grumble), Phoenix (grumble) and a bunch more.

 

Overall, I like the patch (even if seeing a Lich with aghs now makes me shit my pants) and it really makes the game more focused on the supports in my opinion. THE TIME OF THE SUPPORTS IS NIGH :P

 

P.S. NO CRYSTAL MAIDEN NERF. YEAAAAAAAAAAAAAAAAAAAAAAAAAAAAAAAAAAAAAAAAAAAAAAAAAAAAAAAAAAAAAAAAAAA

Forgot to mention, do you think making Counter Helix a pseudo random chance makes axe a little weaker or stronger? I mean, it makes it so you can't have fucking 10 helixes in a row.

- Come on Ice Frog we already were there. This is just annoying. + 100% Life Steal on top ...

"Poison Touch no longer causes a ministun"
- No more Channeling spells and TP chancels for that support ...

"Burning Spears is no longer a Unique Attack Modifier"
"Fury Swipes is no longer a Unique Attack Modifier"
- Ursa + BKB + Satanic = GG

"Cyclone now deals 50 damage to enemy units when they land"
- finally no teammates will help an enemy escape with a blink dagger.

Litch "Aghanim's Scepter Chain Frost no longer has a bounce limit"
- Bounce Baby, bounce!

Generaly they are boosting a lot of hard carries, except Lycan. Cause he was not nurfed to the core, well now he is. And they are making funny and weird additions for the good supports to try and balance the increase of damage I guess.

And I do hope I see a new item next patch. We need an Upgrade for that "Magic Immunity", Perhaps if you combine BKB with an Rapier you get True magic Immunity maybe yes? We have a True Invisibility on Slark why no True Magic Immunity.

- Poor Rod of Atlos, so good and so ignored.

- Lion says it's just cause he has boobs.

Come ON what is up with Lina and Lion. They have identical Ultys but Lion only gets nurfed and Lina only gets buffed. Seriously, What the hell does BKB stands for now? An expensive 50% magic immunity? Your giving even more reasons for the noobs not to get it.

What I do like about the changes to Lich, Omni, Kotl, and Omni is that it makes Supports have something to work toward in the end game. Status quo is often Mek, Pipe, etc. which will stay the same. Lich and the other heroes for the most part should be sticking to the same items (lina has more leg room obviously). Now late game, the supports have the potential to still continue to play a role even with their damage scaling off. So now Lich's ult late game, even with it doing not as much damage, can still be a major issue to worry about. kotl will also play a role later in the match since he will now have the ult tools at his disposal permanently. 

 

I see these changes as positive. The Lich with agh scepter will potentially make for some exciting plays and be quite entertaining. Landing the ult with Blackhole, chrono, even treants ult will be epic. At the same time, it also punishes players who do not know to break away from the group.

 

The change to Axe is both a nerf and a buff. It is a nerf in the sense that you will not be getting those lucky streaks with helix while at the same time, you will have a higher chance of getting the proc. Since the pseudo random distribution (PRD) effects increase each time it does not proc. Will have to test though to see how jungling is with it though; there is a chance it might be easier but only time will tell. My match with meepo and only having it proc once even with four taunted will be less likely. 

 

As for the discussion regarding BKB, I think it would be a bad decision to make a "true" magic immunity. Heroes become useful when they have a means of bypassing BKB. That is one of the reasons why competitively, Beastmaster is sought after at times because his roar bypasses BKB. So if you go against heroes that predominately get BKB early, you may now consider getting something to make that not a always a safe bet. 

 

A few other points; I do like the change to Zeus. He was a hero that was essentially a one-trick pony whose general usefulness drops majorly later on. I always felt that he needed alterations to his ability to make him more useful and having a more team oriented abilities. He was nerfed but at the same time, being able to have target the ground can make for crutch plays against invisible units. Other than Zeus, I do worry about Abaddon and Bristle now. Abaddon was already extremely annoying and now during fights, hitting him or the other team during his ult will really suck. Having 35% reduction across the board for nearby teammates is huge. And then we have Bristle whom I found already strong. Now with skills, moving around will be so much quicker and easier. Going from 1%, 2%, 3% to 3%, 4%, and 5% is a big change. 

 

All-in-all, I am liking these changes. The meta should potentially be changing in-wake of the upcoming International regional qualifiers. It will show what teams are best at adapting and coming up with new and interesting plays with these changes. Those that cannot adapt will end up failing.

This patch is ridiculous.........pubs are going to get a lot more annoying thanks to the new ursa and huskar changes and lich right now in my opinion is broken. Twrs can gain frost armor???

It means that if you right click a hero and they use manta, you will not automatically target the real one.

Ursa Satanic is going to happen now and with like AC + Heart + Scythe of Vyse. Additionally since his claws arent unique attack modifiers it means you can go deso if you want making each claw shred armor. 

It does mean he scales alot better into the late game though cause the extra damage is physical = you can lifesteal off of it. The issued id say is surviving the burst so might see like Blink , Heart, AC, Scythe, Satanic, Boots of Travel Ursa and that would be fun and scary :D

The Euls Buff is nice! No more blinking away after getting Euls'ed.

As for the scepter updates, they seem to be ...meh. I dont know, Lichs ulti not having a bounce limit is great, but getting to an agahnims with Lich who has almost no Flashfarm Abilities might be difficult.

And I guess you won't have Rune Control against Zeus if you play mid ever again :D

As a more serious response, I'm liking the buffs that the supports got this time around, since I tend to play those a lot more. I'm a little worried about the buffs that Huskar and Ursa got, but at the same time I feel like there'll be ways to deal with it. Ursa still needs something to close the gap (I've only recently discovered how strong a Blink Dagger is on Ursa ;_ ;), no matter how much damage he can do once he does, so keeping him stunned or slowed will pretty much make all his gear worthless.

 

'Tis a shame Phoenix got slightly nerfed, but it was coming I suppose.

I say it just means, if there is a hero in 250 range of the casted spot on the ground, the ability will be casted on that hero. But some respectful cocky lamos on my team waned to bet Rare Items with me, that you can actually cast it everywhere on the ground to use it as Invisibility scanner :) and it does damage in that radios of 250. I hope you dont get offended guys, but I warned you :) Anyone else wanna bet items with me this skill will not be castable everywhere on the Ground? I can use more rares.

No cause that would mean he can cast true sight spell on a hero just entering or in fog of war, witch is how most heroes get away from Zeus. But again I could be wrong and maybe it's a targeted spell that can be cast on the ground with arrial damage .... If should work the same way like Furi.. Nature's Prophet Ultimate. God... Lich is going to be scary and I think about it a often mid laner I guess, KoL is funny and Abbadon is going to be a very scary enemy to fight as well (at least if you grab him muehehe)... thought... there is always AXE! i think we are going to be seeing more KOTL and Shadow Demon;s their scepter upgrades are very good but im sorry i am so happy Broodmother got buffed
