X-Wing and Tie Fighter Digital Re-Release

It's happening thanks to GoG.

Now if this can happen for "Full Throttle", "Day of the Tentacle", "X-Wing vs Tie Fighter", hell, how about just release the entire Lucasarts library that isn't out digitally yet while we're at it.

On the GOG site, theres a countdown timer to a new publisher, so if X-Wing Vs. Tie Fighter is coming, it's a good hint that the new publisher is LucasArts, which means all the old adventures might be coming!

OMFG WHEN HOW?! MUST HAVE! I actually have the win95 versions working but it's a big pain in the ass. Full Throttle still works wonderfully due to scummvm btw as well as The Dig and all the other wonders of the 90's, I actually still have the disks here for most of them... Though to be honest I just use images these days.

OMFG one hour... must... contain... excite!

Edit - OMFG IT'S DOWNLOADING!!! It's a bit sad that I basically just paid $20 for the IMUSE and cd soundtracks to work which was the only thing not working with my disks and emulated versions but oh well still hyped as all hell.

Unfortunately, with the way I spent money the last few days on Bundle Stars and Green Man Gaming, I'll have to wait until GoG puts these on sale. Hopefully by then they'll have released even more Lucasarts stuff.

Wow. I have this game an long time ago. I have TIE Fighter since I was 8 years old. Unfortunately, I just donate my TIE Fighter to other neighbor after my father is dead and moved out to new city.

At $10 each, it's a steal. I wonder if Angry Joe ever played these games.

But as my inner Empire self says... FOR THE GREATER GLORY OF THE EMPIRE, GET THESE GAMES!

Noticed that it says Lucasfilm games instead of Lucasarts. Wonder if this means something like if it wasn't in Star Wars or Indiana Joes or any other George Lucas Movie, that it wouldn't get released. I sure hope not. Then again, there's Sam & Max, so I suppose that's a good sign.

That being said, I'm also looking forward to seeing both Rebel Assaults coming out eventually. Here's hoping that other non Star Wars or Indiana Jones games from Lucasarts come out too.

Lucasarts used to be Lucasfilm Games. Sam & Max, Fate of Atlantis and Monkey Island were released already too. The wording seems to indicate their entire PC legacy catalog will be available eventually.
