What if Man of Steel was in color?

Can anyone tell what do people have against dark aesthetics?

I don't mind dark aesthetics, when they are properly used. Superman is the symbol of hope, Batman is the symbol of fear. It make sense for Batman to have a darker color scheme rather than Superman. When Superman has a darker color aesthetic then he hardly represents hope anymore, thus making him something that he's not supposed to be.

You will have to elaborate. How is giving the movie a more lively look 'gay'? Simply referring to a desaturation/dark filter for a movie as not being 'gay' doesn't really make any sense either. I think the movie could've used a more bright look as it's about superman who is supposed to be a beacon of hope. There should only be one brooding hero in DC but so far it seems Justice League will just be full of brooding super beings and batman.

You know what, unless its in a dark theme like guyver, the crow or batman im not loving the dark tones personally, some 3d films ive seen are black as a hole with those god damn glasses and dark tones together. As long as it suits the films end goals sure.  - As for superman - meh i dont wanna diss it id prefer colour but as long as they made a decent version (previous one never happened.. superman can beat god like creatures but runs at fatherhood? wtf) and keep making them, do it w/e colour scheme you like.

It has been overdone to hell and back now because everyone seems that washing out the colors and making everything dark things look more realistic and "adult".

It's just like the "real means brown" fad in videogames during the xbox 360 days

Superman is OP anyway. Every time he gets in any real danger they just give him another random superpower to get out of it.

And I actually LIKED Green Lantern! But I'm one of those weird guys who seems to genuinely like movies that the internet pans.
