I got about 20 seconds in before stopping the video.  "Nice job big blue".  Who was saying that!?  Is there an off screen narrator in this game?  Does he have support from a fellow reploid?  What's with the awkward zoom outs and zoom ins?  Was that a thing they started doing after Sonic Adventure 2?  Too many questions.

Ummm....no? It could be an okay fun game, it just doesn't look to be SONIC fun. For starters, it just moves way too slow to be a Sonic game. It actually looks like it may end up being more frustrating than fun. I think the last real fun Sonic game was probably Sonic Adventures for the Dreamcast.

That's not the point dude, it comes off like you guys have nothing better to do so you nitpick stuff that could just slide. This place is at a crawl in terms of posting, you should be encouraging any type of posting as long as it's not vial or anything of that nature. People won't post for hours on end and when someone finally makes a new thread; BOOM you guys are there to let them know they did something wrong.

You shouldn't have a 'no one is making you stay' kind of view, a lot of people ARE and have moved on from this place because certain aspects have become overbearing. I'm not calling you guys out or anything, this is just a dialog, I personally think you guys should ease up a bit, it's becoming a bit much.

This thread has now turned into something else because the previous moderator had to say something he really didn't need to say, he could have just moved it which takes a total of 5 seconds or just let it be, and that be the end of it. A remark doesn't need to be thrown out for everything, it derails discussions and makes people angry.

    To many new fps shooters
  5. Recoveryanonymous liked a post in a topic by DoctorEvil in Where are the reviews?
I can't comment on GameGrumps, but as a managed partner with Polaris, TotalBiscuit doesn't have to worry about combing through his reviews and hiding game music or other clips, so TB was spared the wave of content claims on his videos.  Joe and the majority of Polaris content makers were made "affiliate" partners, which lead to to the mass of claims and having to be super careful about what goes into their videos.

Now to address the rate of Joe's reviews let's look at the actual numbers, from a period of March to the end of May (before E3) for the last 4 years:

2014: 7 Reviews (8 if Watch Dog's gets in before E3 -- 9 if you count Edge of Tomorrow, which Joe took down because of movie studio copyright claims)
(Rambo, South Park: TSOT, TItanfall, Metal Gear, ESO, Amazing Spider-man 2, Godzilla)
    2013: 9 Reviews
(Metal Gear Rising, Tomb Raider, Walking Dead SI, Bioshock Infinite, Defiance MMO, Injustice, Star Trek, Star Command (indie), Metro: Last Light)
    2012: 6 Reviews
(Asura's Wrath, Mass Effect 3, Star Wars Kinect. Mount & Blade: NW, Risen 2, Dragon's Dogma)
    2011: 8 Reviews
(Dragon Age II, Total War: Shogun, Homefront, Michael Jackson Kinect, Mortal Kombat, Thor, Brink, LA Noir)

So what does that tell us, Joe's reviews are dropping? The AJS is dying? Cats are living with Dogs? The end of the world?

NO, it tells us that even within the same time period across years, video game release rates are variable, and even with that, Joe has kept up with his average for reviews, WHILE at the same time for this year he started streaming 3 nights a week (which gives people a inside look at games he will be reviewing), launching a new gaming community, and having to be more careful about what goes into his videos because of YouTube.

So please, show the man some respect and research before posting your groupthink ideas about what is an acceptable rate of FREE content that he gives you.

Well since you haven't played Nintendo since the Gamecube, and Wii U can play Wii titles, you need to round out the Zelda collection. I see you already got Skyward Sword which is a Wii title. You also need to pick up Twilight Princess(Wii) and Windwaker HD(Wii U). Remember, Nintendo + Zelda = Gold. The Legend of Zelda has always been like that one friend that I can always go to, because she will never let me down.

Jim Sterling has been going on about this game for a little while now; it looks like parts were made with Gary's Mod honestly.

He also did a Jimquisition on it this week. Really, Steam needs quality control. This game may be a contender to Day One Gary's Incident.

That new Galaxy client sounds awesome if they can get it working. Full party chat would be a plus too. I hope GOG becomes more and more popular to the point where I don't have to use Steam. It's a long ways off but I hope they'll get there. Going digital is not synonymous with DRM and I'm so glad that CD Projekt Red is championing that.

  17. Recoveryanonymous liked a post in a topic by Variloh in Nintendo lives up to its hype
I just wanted to shed light that it seems IMO the only company whose games are living up to its hype is nintendo. Titanfall didnt, Watch dogs apparently didn't, and there are really no trully intresting games out on Xbox one and PS4 yet (exclusives)(IMO AND YET READ THOSE TWO THINGS). Yet Nintendos latest hyped games: pokemon x/y, Mario Kart 8, fire Emblem Awakeining, mario 3d world, animal crossing new leaf. etc are all living up to there hype. Yet it seems all people can say about nintendo is how big a failure the wii u is.... on  a related topic, are youtubers/streamers partially responsible for this?  http://angryjoeshow.com/ajsa/topic/19454-are-popular-youtubers-and-twitch-personalitys-adding-to-the-hype-problem/

just wanted to post this, i know the hate is imminent and the eventual locking of the feed because of this, i guess rustling some feathers gets people thinking. its what i do.

  19. Variloh liked a post in a topic by Recoveryanonymous in Are Popular Youtubers and Twitch personalitys adding to the "Hype" problem?
I agree that there does seem to be some resentment toward Nintendo from many popular youtubers (not naming any names); a lot of that may be due to Nintendo being out of touch in a few crucial areas such as lack of proper online or third party support. On the other hand, Nintendo has made a lot of enemies from their behaviour towards Youtubers with their misuse of youtube's copyright id system.

I think that youtubers can be a very influencing force for either good or ill; the good ones are mindful of this though. With the ever changing climate of the industry and the new ways publishers would nickel and dime us, I think Youtubers present far more good than harm through simply offering more awareness to consumers about what's going on.
  20. Recoveryanonymous liked a post in a topic by Null in Are Popular Youtubers and Twitch personalitys adding to the "Hype" problem?
Out of touch is an understatement.  Nintendo is about 5 years behind .  I agree that Youtube can be a force of good with guys like Joe around, but I have a nephew who is about 10 years old now.  He just wants to play whatever he sees <insert generic youtuber name here> play.  It's very disheartening to see him not try to carve out his own niche, but I can only hope he grows out of this.

Wow, 666% increase in hardware sales in the UK and 82% of Mario Kart 8 copies that were sold were bought in the bundle.  That is....astonishingly high compared to what I expected to see.  I wonder if people bought early since Smash is on the horizon or if people just wanted some epic Karting action.  Either way, this is nice to see.

The OP didn't make his initial post to start a console flame war, so please don't try and start one.  He meant to state his opinion on the subject and state it he did.  Disagree with it if you like, but please do so in a way that is a little more civil.

I like the non-hostile nature of miiverse.  It may be a heavily curated community, but it's nice to just sit back and game with no politics involved once in a while.

A lot of Fox and Falco love.  Never been a fan of his fast and light playstyle.  I like chars with more meat on their bones that can get those 175% damage levels and still keep goin'.
