Again, I'm trying not to troll but Christianity is not exactly known for being free of discrimination even nowadays. And if there was a section for Catholics and Protestants then there should be a section for Yoruba, Hindi, Budhists, Norse pagans... And you can probably see the problem with that.

I'm trying not to mean this in a trollish manner but here I go.

Why don't you just want to meet nice gamers? If someone simply supports abortion(amen to that btw.) does he or she become a person you don't want to play with?

Given the latest outbursts in what I consider borderline censorship of various threads and especially the GamerGate thread I feel like saying some things.
Ive never done a drama infused good bye thread and maybe if Im not banned this isnt one. However I cant help but feel the angry army is getting kind of hypocritical. The idea as stated by Joe himself was to have a group of people who fought for consumers rights in gaming and AJ's whole schtick is doing exactly that. To remove the biggest consumer revolt in gaming ever from the forum is not great.
That and some of the latest choices in moderarion make me sad and I thought I should express that, take it as feedback if you will. If anyone wants to talk or play something or anything I'll be on Steam @ auronkast.

I also have to agree, the forum policing is starting to look very heavy handed to me. There really wasn't anything wrong with the GG thread that I could see. People were passionate about their opinions, but hardly trolling and being nasty to each other. I've nervous about putting up my opinions that are, shall we say, "well of centre" because I afraid of getting in trouble.
  9. Gone too liked a post in a topic by Sol Omega in Forum censorship and my take on it
Yeah, it felt a bit abrupt to just close the thread and (as far as I know and saw) delete any #GG threads that pop up. I don't understand why close it and prevent speaking about it here. It's not because it's a political thing. I mean, it is, but we're allowed to speak of politics as long as it greatly pertains to gaming. Which it did.

And it's not because it got derailed or trolled. I've derailed and trolled enough things to see a failed thread that should be dealt with, and the GG thread wasn't one of them. All it was people sharing information and thoughts. All things considering, it being about a heated topic, it was doing quite well. And as Rainversey said, it was civil.

Are you guys doing this so we don't end up attracting unwanted attention or something? Or is this because of Angry Joe himself and his personal thoughts on GamerGate? If that's the case, then lemme pull this out of context from our CoC:

This thread made me look into the last page of the #gamergate thread to have a look at it.
All the people were extremely civilized with each other and the reason for locking the thread is bs.
As such, I emailed the threadlocker about this demanding he makes up an better reason because there were NO Valid ones for locking it.

How's the gameplay? How's the map divided? What's the difference between sub-factions, are they similar to tabletop or is it just like dow where it was a paint coat? And if I like it I'll go Ultramahreens for sure.

It's a retail practice enforced due to shipping cycles. And until retail dies they'll keep pressuring the big publishers to do it even if most of the sales are digital.

As long as its not a copy of the last 2 games im excited. BF4 is a good game, but honestly was way too similar and soon after to bf3.

Game will not be much prettier than Shadow of Mordor and there's no reason for it to be more system intensive.

CPU: Intel Core i5-750 or AMD Phenom II X4 965 CPU Speed: Info RAM: 3 GB OS: Windows 7 (64-bit only) Video Card: NVIDIA GeForce GTX 460 or AMD Radeon HD 5850 Sound Card: Yes Free Disk Space: 25 GB

Do you see a GTX 680 in there? Cause I'm not seeing it. Even the recommended for reasonable working game is a NVIDIA GeForce GTX 660 or AMD Radeon HD 7950 which is far more reasonable and those are just if you want it to be similar to console, stop saying the optimization is impossible on PC it's just Ubisoft being lazy.

And by Jupiter what's with the walls?

It's in between minimum and recommended and it's a good mid-high card so it'll work for sure but it's not going for ultra and maybe even everything on high might be a stretch. Hell even my new 970 might not make high if it's anything like Watch Dogs.

OMFG WHEN HOW?! MUST HAVE! I actually have the win95 versions working but it's a big pain in the ass. Full Throttle still works wonderfully due to scummvm btw as well as The Dig and all the other wonders of the 90's, I actually still have the disks here for most of them... Though to be honest I just use images these days.

OMFG one hour... must... contain... excite!

Edit - OMFG IT'S DOWNLOADING!!! It's a bit sad that I basically just paid $20 for the IMUSE and cd soundtracks to work which was the only thing not working with my disks and emulated versions but oh well still hyped as all hell.

    It's happening thanks to GoG.

Now if this can happen for "Full Throttle", "Day of the Tentacle", "X-Wing vs Tie Fighter", hell, how about just release the entire Lucasarts library that isn't out digitally yet while we're at it.

PS4 uses a modified HD7870, which is far weaker then a GTX680. Aka as the architecture of a console version is really similar to PC's and it basically uses the same pieces as PC's (Just modified.) it means console specifications can be linked to the PC requirements. Sure they dont need to optimize it to all for all the hardware that's on PC, but if you take down AA it would look worse than the console, but it should also require less GPU power than the consoles. + having control over the density of the AI would be a easy option.. For example sleeping dogs had an option for world density.. So you wouldn't need a FX-8350.. Actually that's really stupid because console CPUs arent close to a FX-8350.. It's a joke saying that "Our bottleneck for CPU is legit cause see we require a FX-8350".. IPC is the most important thing for a CPU and Jaguar has a respectable amount of power through it.  Although I do have to say a lot of people think that GHz= Power, it honestly isn't true, but this case IS where FX8350 is far more powerful.. But as Jaguar is a improved Bobcat, then an E350 bobcat which has a 772 passmark score (Which is a program used to grade a CPU relatively correctly.) and calculate it some extra cores (And that's assuming that the cores all work at full efficiency), and an 20%~ increase in IPC it only boils down to a i3 2100 in terms of passmark score (Though I would consider it to be closer to a i3 4130 as game optimization and the sort does make it perform better and it is just an approximation of "its meat" on its predecessor with percentages added.. So lets consider it to be a bit over the estimates to be kind to the consoles...)    (Old source, but as the hardware hasn't changed it's still relevant: http://www.redgamingtech.com/amd-jaguar-ps4s-cpu-vs-pc-desktop/
It's basically an optimization issue. And I don't think the minimum graphics have to look as good as the console version either.. So this is simply horrible optimization and zero care from ubisofts side. World density options to reduce the strain on the CPU? No! Take out the FX8350's that're more powerful than the PS4 CPU's and take this flat CPU requirement! PC has options for a reason.. Because people can game even on things that are less powerful then the consoles, but still play the game on lower graphics and enjoy it. And people who have more powerful computers can game on higher graphics.

http://yachtclubgames.com/2014/07/shovel-knight-international-status/ Nintendo's certification system in Australia and Europe seems to be even worse than normal.  That said Nintendo doesn't know how to online.... Or how to modern gaming but that's another problem.

So let's say I want to play Dragon Age Inquisition, Battlefield 4 and Mass Effect 4 so when I buy the games, I'm a drolling moron? I'm sorry but your view at things is a little out of the line. I'm not going to stop playing games that are still good and that I love just because some other EA games are crap, that's just dumb. Don't like EA or their games? Don't buy them but if you want to call people names because they buy EA games, please visit Youtube, Twitter or Facebook but don't do it here.

But personally I don't care what people think but if that's your opinion at least keep it to yourself, not because of me but because your view might piss off some people here and we want to avoid a war. I've already given you a small warning about it so don't do it again.

Can't we just keep playing Titanfall, BF3 and/or 4 for another year and not buy a(nother) big time FPS this year? That's what I'm going to do personally.

Maybe some of us like Bioware and DICE's works for what they are? I know I do, I've been playing their games for over a decade now and can still find something to enjoy in them. If your problem is day 1 DLC(something we all dislike I believe.) just don't buy it.
