  1. So this kind of flew under the radar.... http://www.marketingpilgrim.com/2014/03/youtube-calms-angry-vidders-with-new-tweaks-in-content-id-process.html It was so under reported, that it made me wonder. How many people actually recieved this letter? Does anyone know if good ol' AngryJoe recieved this famous letter? Does he still have a music company claiming ownership of his videos? Below are links to the full letter: http://www.reddit.com/r/letsplay/comments/20qdkx/letter_from_youtube_managing_rights_and_content/ P.S. I was only able to find two other places reporting on this myself. (http://www.tubefilter.com/2014/03/18/youtube-content-id-updates-tools/ and http://www.hypebot.com/hypebot/2014/03/youtube-updates-content-id-changes-for-creators.html)
  2. The Wall Street Journal did an article on this btw: http://blogs.wsj.com/digits/2014/03/17/youtube-enlists-trusted-flaggers-to-police-videos/ http://variety.com/2014/digital/news/youtube-super-flagger-program-of-200-users-and-groups-not-aimed-at-copyright-infringement-1201136672/ It was orginally reported by Financial Time here ---> the http://www.ft.com/cms/s/0/b5b03bb4-a87b-11e3-b50f-00144feab7de.html#axzz2vz4GJiox. However, most people don't have a Financial Times account or subscription so they may access that article depending on what country you live in.
  3. Yeah true, which is why I added http://www.reddit.com/r/Games/comments/1vjsqj/angry_joe_copyright_battle_update_good_guysbad/ to my orginal post. Well it is made of mutliple people. Maybe it do to each person want to have a voice in the company? Maybe its a sign of how open and transparent they as a company? Yep is more common then you would think... https://www.eff.org/issues/dmca Lols, just lols. I sometimes, wonder if youtube claim bot works like that. Sometimes though its due to harrassment from very real people. https://www.eff.org/deeplinks/2013/12/no-more-downtime-free-speech-eff-helps-people-american-way-challenge-dmca-abuser BF4 issue? You mean this.. http://www.ibtimes.com/ea-class-action-lawsuit-battlefield-4-bugs-bf4-dlc-problems-trigger-suit-electronic-arts-denies ?
  4. Poor nintendo. Q_Q I never thought I would say that. I actually feel sorry for them, but I have kind of had a slight dislike of them for years.
  5. @_#*!_*@#_()!*@ ****** &*(*(&^&%%$ mother 789697%(^&!^(&*^ on a *()&)*(^&)@#(*&$E)@#$ with *()&*)(&)(*&)(* because *(&)(*&)*(&)*( in a *(&)*&)*(&)* ship !!!! I am unhappy Signed petition!
  6. Didn't see a thread about this, so I thought I would share with you guys: The battle rages on! http://www.reddit.com/r/youtube/comments/1vjvuo/angry_joe_copyright_battle_update/ http://www.reddit.com/r/Games/comments/1vjsqj/angry_joe_copyright_battle_update_good_guysbad/ If you have time, please like or comment on the reddit links of this I found, so we can get the word out better. Thx
  7. Nice however, I refuse to rest untill they actually start to mention Lessing v. Liberation Media LTD, one of the most landmark DMCA cases happening right now and should come to a conclusion sometime this spring/summer. Charge!!!!!!!
  8. Really, I say Okami on the PS4 store last time I checked XD
  9. For the record google does do alot of really strange things.... Remember google mysterious barges that started popping up? And how they are now caught in red tape for being well mysterious about it? http://www.huffingtonpost.co.uk/2013/10/28/google-mysterious-box_n_4169343.html http://www.cbc.ca/news/technology/mystery-barges-on-u-s-coasts-might-be-google-data-centres-1.2288205 http://www.theregister.co.uk/2013/11/01/google_barge_latest/ http://www.reuters.com/article/2013/12/05/us-google-barge-idUSBRE9B402S20131205 Like the people who run The Circle, book by David Eggars, Google believes that everything really does is for the good of humanity and society. It really believes that it can change or use this military company that it bought to help people. Because is such a good designer of new things, Google suffers from the great flaw of design: "Not everything you design will be good for people and may harm people in ways you cannot realize because of how the design process works." Thus unless there going to be like tony stark below, I pretty sure we need to say no google, your being evil!
  10. Lol, oh your heavily laced sacrasm. Everyone should know by now that Joe just has alot of pet peeves with people picking on, ripping off, or scamming the little guy. His hearts in the right place. Thanks for blighting my thread. Err... I mean yeah, Joe totally picks on the moderator named Moobot way too much and works her like a slave driver whenever he streams. Poor Poor, Moobot. (If you don't know what moobot is, please click the link to get the joke).
  11. Actually, yes there is alot of significance to the movement. The digital attack map and Project Shield as a whole about protecting small websites against DDOS attacks and helping people in oppressive regimes including protecting free speech. As google explains on its about page the map is "displaying global activity levels in observed attack traffic – it is collected anonymously, and does not include any identifying information about the attackers or victims involved in any particular attack". This is because google doesn't want people in third world countries to get like shot for rebelling against oppressive regimes by trying to surf the internet. Instead, google lists clusters of attacks by time and ports being used. This is so users can know in nearly real time what DDOS cyberwarfare either by governments or corporations is occurring every day. Moreover, it can help site users figure out if the DDOS was simple a scatter shot attempt or if they are specifically being targeted. Now for the signifcance of what the map is showing. The bubble is for the actually for whole US not just the east coast. Indeed the movement itself is significant as it shows what country the IP being attacked is located and what hacked or bot computers are being used in the attack. You can highlight over a line to see specific information as I show in the picture. Now each line is a different cluster of attacks that occurred on that specific day and the size of the line represents the total length of the DDOS attacks that occured. The the intensity of the attack is being updated in real time in bandwidth first and duration of the attack second. The longer it has gone on for the bigger the line gets as more bandwidth is used. In terms of circles represent country to country attacks. Arches comming from space mean that the location of the attacker/hacked computer is unknown or the destination of the attack is unknown. Literally the arches are like Low orbiting Ion cannon DDOS attacks being sent to and from space like ICBMs. The map finally also shows countries involved in cyberwarfare with other countries such as the probably hacked computer in germany attacking china right now. So literally, I was pointing out with the picture that there alot more internal attacks earlier today, so if this was a completely random DDOS it would not be surprising. Yes, however I wanted to double check with you guys before looking like a complete idiot. What really tipped me off what the fact that I was not able to access the cached versions of the site at the time. This and literally everyone attacks US servers daily for no apparent reason other than how big we are. Just like "china" and "brazil" attack everyone or at least people engaging in cyber warfare what us to blame those countries. Really!? Oh... umm.... maybe, I should have said anything then. XD
  12. Upgrading the website? This could explain it, but then what was changed? XD
  13. So about ... now 3-4 hours ago... (*double checks*) Do you think the site got DDOSed today or was it just server maintenance? Sometime around 6:00 am - 8:30 am Eastern Standard time, angyjoeshow.com website was down as shown by http://angryjoeshow.com.isdownorblocked.com and similar websites. It of course back up now, but for a while there it was very very odd. I hope the webmaster sees this thread and replies, but I do know that Google's Project Shield (link below) is showing an 6/10 volume on DOS attacks today, which is higher than yesterday. Specifically internal to the US attacks. digitalattackmap.com P.S. Honesty the map by Google Ideas makes more sense when its animated, but I understand why Joe might not want an embed on the site. Edit: Also I am totally embarrased because I swap around the S and J in AJSA. I wish I could fix it >-<;;
