    Hi everyone.
Since there has been a lot of talk about ranking lately , and people always having an excuse to why they are a certain rank, i would like to try something.
Reply to this topic with  your current rank that you have in CS GO and the highest rank you used to be.
after that explain why you are in this rank and what you could improve.

when all of that is done we could do a training night and see how we can get better in those categories.

This is just a little experiment i thought of and could be useful for everyone who plays CS GO in general.

    looking forward to your replies
  3. Tidell liked a post in a topic by Faizyr in Event : operation counter quake
This time We'll be doing competitive matches most of the time with some standard maps that everyone loves or hates , and some custom maps that are from the cs go community.

after a couple of matches we are going to test this special and super silly mode that we've created called counter quake. basically it makes counter strike be played like a classic fps game like quake , doom etc... which is fairly entertaining.

the event will take place on sunday at 10pm GMT+2 , the event is estimated to last around 2 hours.

it is required to have a microphone and enter our cs go channel in teamspeak 3 if you want to join.

    see you there.

like said above , don't be shy to ask me or whoever what they play and make sure to check the panels. im pretty sure everyone has a description what that person streams and interests are.
also your statement is false on asking what we play and we didn't answer , atleast not me. im a very chat focused streamer...
  5. Faizyr liked a post in a topic by Jayson's Rage in How I Have Managed To Bottle Liquid Luck (A Guide For New Twitch Streamers)
I started legitimately streaming July 31, 2015. Between then and now, I have gained ~180 followers, which I am told is absolutely insane for a new channel. So here, in no particular order is how I managed to sneak into the wizarding world and brew up a liquid potion.

WARNING: THIS GUIDE IS LONG AND QUITE EXHAUSTIVE, BUT IT IS NOT A DEFINITIVE "DO THIS AND YOU WILL BE GUARANTEED SUCCESS" GUIDE.
So, in no particular order, here is how I managed to bottle Liquid Luck.

    1) HAVE A GOOD (OR AT LEAST DECENT) OVERLAY.

Something that is aesthetically pleasing. Easy on the eyes but not distracting. If possible, keep it in theme with your channel's overall feel. For example, I'll show my own.

I have my channel name, website, the stream team, my twitter, the AJSA slogan, AJSA website, my logo, and face cam all in the overlay without it being TOO cluttered to seem like it was all mashed in there. It doesn't take up too much of the screen that vital points of the game's screen. I also have an alternative overlay for games that have information in the bottom right corner that doesn't have the face cam panel, but I have a separate panel that I can place wherever seems right for whatever game.

You won't find your sweet spot on the first try. I sure didn't. But that is something that you constantly assess and figure out a good fit as you go on.

    2) BOTS (ANKHBOT, NIGHTBOT, ECT.).

I highly highly HIGHLY recommend Ankhbot. like... HIGHLY. For commands, don't think of them as purely text based. Think of it as a programming language, and it becomes a lot clearer. See the guide on how this "Programming Language" works, and play with it. Take a day or two where you just dick around with commands and see what does exactly what and see how you could use it. The best way to learn is to play with some trial and error. Set up your bot with certain commands that you'd expect from channels universally (like !uptime, ect.). As I play with commands a bit I'll be doing a tutorial series so you can learn as I do and we can take this journey together. Tons will also be doing tutorials around certain commands and how they can be applied to fun commands.

Setup a point system with your bot. Even if you don't have a use for them yet, it is still a system of meaningless reward for your viewers. Come up with a name that fits your channel's theme (Ravenfist with his !feathers, Tons with his !fun, myself with my !ChillPills, ect.). You may not have a use for them now, but you will.

Decide when to and when not to use song request. I don't recommend using it %100 of the time, but it is at your own discretion. If you use Anhkbot's song request system, make sure to follow the guides on the song listing as well as setting up commands for your mods to use to delete, skip, change volume, and so on.

For certain commands, set a cooldown, so they cant be spammed. For example, I have a !kitty command, which counts every time my furry little bastard shows up on camera. It has a universal cooldown so that multiple people typing it in won't cause multiple counts and messages.

Also, it is helpful to have a !command command that let's people know what commands you have.

More on Ankhbot, and bots in general will be in other guides, so that's enough there.

    3) PANELS, PANELS, PANELS!!

Panels are important!! I cannot stress this enough!! At the same time, make sure not to cram too much information into each panel. Some good basic panels to have are: Schedule, Rules, My Rig, About Me, FAQ, Social, Donations (and Top Donors), AJSA, Library/Common Games, and Commands. (Hey! We just talked about those!)

Some are pretty straight forward, others, not so much. Like, for my Library, I had to think outside the box, and I made a spreadsheet to better clear it up.

    4) CHANNEL MODS AND EDITORS

If you find certain followers to be extremely helpful and frequently on, and you find them trustworthy, get mods setup. It is as simple as typing /mod [uSERNAME] in the chat and without mods you run the risk of trolls, assholes, and generally shitty people ruining the chat experience for other viewers.

Your mods are more useful than just chat banhammers though. If you set up the right commands through Ankhbot or are using Nightbot, they can change your game and title for you when you switch from game to game, moderate your song requests, and many other useful things like running giveaways and betting systems.

Mods can help make or break your followers' experience.

    5) AUDIO LEVELS AND AUDIO/VIDEO QUALITY

This is extremely important. Like, the difference between a follow or not. A donation or not. A sub or not. If you're streaming below 720p 30fps, don't expect much attention.

For audio, make sure that you've got your levels set properly to where you are easily identifiable over any game audio and song requests, but the audio isn't overpowering to the point where you CAN'T hear the game audio or song requests.

In the same vein, make sure that you have a semi decent mic. I'll update this guide later with some cost-effective solutions, and feel free to post some suggestions below.

    6) MAKE A TEST ACCOUNT

If you're like me and constantly testing new settings and such, make sure that you have, and use, a test account so that the followers of yours that get notifications when you go online... Well... Don't. Share this account with one or two people to help you test your settings and give you feedback. A little constructive criticism goes a long way.

    7) INTERACT WITH CHAT
Another very important thing. Welcoming viewers, carrying on conversations, and thanking for follows and donations. It goes a long way. Simple speaking with chat helps to build a reputation as a friendly and welcoming host. Remember, these people could be watching just about anyone just play a game, they came to see the game AND you.

Have somewhat of a familiar response with each follower (for example, I say something similar to "[follower], thank you for the follow!! You are now a RAGEMONSTER! Come, rage with us!"), but don't say the exact same rehearsed line every time (for example, I was doing terrible in Dirty Bomb, and I would say "Welcome [follower]! You are now a ragemonster! Rage with us! Or really, at me because I'm the suck."). Keep it familiar but spontaneous.

    8) COSTREAM

I owe a lot of my followers, and honestly my most helpful mods, to viewers from other streamers that I have costreamed with such as Tons, Raven, Bast, and others. Don't be shy to ask larger streamers if they would be willing to do a co-stream with you and plan it beforehand. Mention the other streamer in your title (Example: Pubstomping Rocket League with The_Tons0fun and Ravenfist89), as well as setting up a !caster command, or something similar,to let people know who you are playing with.

    9) TWITCH ALERTS (OR SOMETHING SIMILAR)

Twitch Alerts is a very helpful resource that you can load a .gif, soundbyte, and custom message for followers, subscribers, donors, and hosts. It adds that extra little bit of personality to your stream that lets you and chat know when people do something that positively affects your channel.

    10) BUILD UP A REPERTOIRE OF GAMES

Yes, it is very good to have your default games that are your "go-to" games. But don't be afraid to try new games. It is a trial and error process and you'd be surprised at what you find. During one of my very first games of War Thunder, I got raided by a very popular War Thunder streamer, which gave me a good 20-30 followers in one day.

Also, there are a few good go-to games that will always get attention, and are worth a shot as they are free-to-play, namely War Thunder and World of Warships. Personally, I love the hell outta these games, so I choose to stream them regularly.

On top of that, look into games in which you can involve your chat. Games like Quiplash, Choice Chamber, and the Jackbox Party Pack are great for involving your viewers in more than the sense of a conversation. They cam be extremely fun, but don't burn yourself out on these games, especially Quiplash, too quickly. Space it out. Keeping demand high, but not too high (*cough*Amiibo*cough*), is a good way to ensure a good turnout when you DO stream these kinds of games.

    11) TWITTER

Before getting involved with YouTube and Twitch, I HATED Twitter. I mean I LOATHED it. BUT, as it turns out, it can be yet another platform for you to interact with your followers by carrying on conversations as well letting them know when you are about to stream.

    12) MAKE SURE YOUR SPECS ARE UP TO PAR

I cannot stress this one enough. By specs I don't just mean your PC. I mean your connection and settings. Don't go below 1000 bitrate and, until you're partnered, there is absolutely no reason to be above 2200 bitrate. You may be able to play in 1080, but for starters, just scale it down to 720. The highest quality isn't always the best. Keep that in mind.

    13) PATIENCE, YOUNG PADAWAN

Even if you do everything right, you probably won't see instant success. Twitch is a platform that can be unforgiving, yet very rewarding. You need to be patient and let things happen as they do. if you burn yourself out too quickly, you'll drop the platform before you give it a chance to work. Don't even expect to get 100+ followers in a month. I can't even attribute my success to me entirely. Sure, I've been doing a lot right, but it also has a LOT to do with luck, and I accept that.

Don't judge your success by other streamers' success.

I hope this helps, even if it is only one or two people! Happy Streaming!

    Hey guys
ive setup a  new steam group for cs go since the previous steam group is beyond our control.
    http://steamcommunity.com/groups/csgoajsa
this should help getting together for events and hang out much easier. it is also going to be easier to make a mini event by playing in ranked  competitive or browse community servers for fun.
so if your interested join the group right now while its still public. later on it will be set to invite only.
stay tuned for more stuff coming soon.

please let other  cs go ajsa folk know about the new steam group so they join.

  9. Faizyr liked a post in a topic by Eiousx in Game Leader Meeting (August 1st, 2015)
There will be a game leader meeting for all primary leaders for across all games and platforms. Of course not everyone can make it and we understand. Please if you can make the below listed time.

The meeting will take place this Saturday, August 1st at 11:00 AM CDT.

What I mean by game leaders is the primary and only the primary leader whether they're a sergeant or officer. This will be to allow discussion between council and commanders with game leaders at one time. We will be bringing up our goals and intentions for the present and the near future. We will without a doubt have a Q&A part of the meeting after all necessary information has been relayed.

At this time the meeting will take place on the AJSA teamspeak server. We will have a specific channel for the meeting so please be on time. This is obviously not easy to get together which is why we don't expect everyone to show. But we need as many in attendance as possible so that we may have as clear and direct of a communication between all those in a position of responsibility.

Before I link you to the video on how to get started, let me answer a few questions.

    You: "WTF is Ankhbot?":
Ankhbot is a very useful "Chat Bot". You can set up commands and all their parameters (For example, I have a command on my bot for !twitter, which links to my twitter"), giveaways, banned words/phrases, and so much more!

You: "What do I need to use ankhbot?":
To use ankhbot, you will need to make another Twitch account just for your bot. Make it something relevant to your channel. Also, you will need to download and install the bot here at this link.

Also, make sure to follow the creator on twitter for updates.

There is a lot of useful information in this tutorial! It is updated for AnhkbotR2.

    thats a great idea but...
i don't have full control of the server and it seems like i cannot upload files into the server that are bigger  30 mb or something , thats the biggest reason why i think it won't happen until one of the council members find a way to fix this.
and it's also one of the reasons why we don't have more servers available, if i actually had more control over it , i would have had everything set up months ago...

il see what i can do ,  if you give me the plugins il try uploading chunks of it and see if that works

    Hey guys ,

ive been trying to get some more events but it seems the weekends and even fridays are now always packed with other events for other game so i'm not able to start one.

but here's where you come in to solve this problem
since the council members and mods are  sadly very slow,  we're going to have to try do these smaller events with less stuff then i was originally planning to do. (AKA : having custom maps and modes and some more servers ) seems to no longer be an option with this rate.
So, respond to this topic and let me know what days are you usually free  to play for an hour or two and if you like this idea , and then with all your  comments we'll think of a good day and time to do these small concentrated events hopefully weekly. maybe even daily and do random stuff in the server.

Just wanted to let you know that i am currently working on some CS GO  AJSA servers.
and would like to ask what kind of servers would you like to see first be live so you guys can all hang out and play.
remember all of these options will be available later on, but now it is up to you to choose what comes out first.

ive been looking through custom maps that we could try out in our server , but it will take me awhile before i know it's actually good.
so if you know any good custom maps , reply to me here

    oh and...
like in the events, i always have a gimmick mode. the problem is these days that it takes quite a lot of time to think of a cool mode to try out ,after we annihilate each other in competitive ofcourse...

so you have game mode ideas post them here too.
an example for a mode would be like : moon jumping , super speed ,  30 second round with everyone only using tasers.  stuff like that.
  19. okito liked a post in a topic by Faizyr in custom maps and modes
sure thats a good idea in general , the server is not getting that much of use (or ever will ) since you all know everyone plays for the ranked competitives,
and so yeah il see what i can do and maybe make it 1v1 when there are no events.
plus im waiting access for a second server to start working on other stuff too , other then competitive stuff.

i would always choose third person because i prefer gameplay over anything else. it's just better in every way to understand what is happening around you. unless the game has crappy camera placement.
